Welcome to this grounding meditation.
Find a comfortable seated position either on the floor or on a chair with your spine straight.
Gently close your eyes and take a deep breath in and exhale completely.
Take another deep breath in and exhale completely.
Bring your attention to your body.
Notice how your body feels right now.
Feel the weight of your body as it presses down into the ground or the chair.
Allow yourself to fully arrive in this moment,
Letting go of any distractions.
Now slowly bring your attention to your feet.
Feel the connection between your feet and the earth beneath you.
Imagine roots growing from the soles of your feet,
Extending deep into the earth,
Anchoring you,
Providing you with a sense of stability and support.
Take a deep breath in through your nose,
Feeling the air fill your lungs and then slowly exhale through your mouth.
As you continue to breathe deeply,
Visualize the energy of the earth rising up through those roots,
Flowing into your body,
Filling you with a warm,
Nurturing energy.
With each inhale,
Draw this energy up from the earth,
Feeling it fill your legs,
Your torso and finally your entire body.
With each exhale,
Release any tension or stress,
Allowing it to flow down through your body and out into the earth,
Where it can be absorbed and transformed.
Now bring your awareness to the sensations of the earth beneath you.
Feel its solidity and its stability.
Know that you are supported by the earth in every moment.
As you continue to breathe,
Deepen your connection with the earth,
Feeling more grounded,
More centered and more at peace.
If your mind starts to wander,
Gently bring it back to the sensation of your breath and the connection to the earth.
Imagine the earth's energy wrapping around you,
Providing a protective,
Calming presence.
Feel this energy grounding you,
Bringing you fully into the present moment.
Slowly begin to bring your awareness back to the room,
Noticing the sounds around you,
The feeling of the air on your skin.
Wiggle your fingers and toes,
Gently bringing movement back into your body.
When you're ready,
Open your eyes.
Take a moment to notice how you feel,
Carrying this sense of grounding and connection with you as you go about your day.
