Begin by finding a posture that is comfortable for you.
You may consider lying down with your spine resting evenly on the earth.
Perhaps placing something soft under the head or an eye pillow,
Wrapping yourself in a blanket for added support.
Once you're settled in,
Connecting with the breath,
Noticing any sensations that arise in the body as you inhale and exhale.
Inhale,
Expanding,
Filling the belly.
Inhale contracting,
Sinking the navel towards the spine.
Inhale the navel rises towards the sky,
Embracing the element of air.
Exhale as the navel melts towards the earth.
Find an intention for your practice now and repeat this three times to yourself,
Pausing the meditation if you find you need more time to settle into your intention.
Anchor your awareness to your intention and the sound of the rattle will begin in five seconds.
Gently bringing your awareness back to the sound of your breath.
Gently inviting movement back into the body.
Slowly opening the eyes.
As we bring our meditation to a close.
