Namaste,

Welcome.

My name is Amber and I'll be guiding you through a mantra meditation.

A mantra is used to help settle the mind and anchor your awareness.

I invite you to take a comfortable seated position,

Lengthening through the spine,

Softening the jaw,

Closing down the eyes or softening your gaze towards the earth.

Settle into yourself and taking a few deep expansive breaths,

Listening to the subtle sound of air as it enters into the nostrils and passes through your body,

Noticing the sound and sensation of your natural breath.

In this moment,

Become aware of how you feel in the body,

Mind and being,

Allowing yourself space to relax,

Feeling your muscles soften into stillness.

Bringing your awareness to your breath,

Notice the depth and rhythm of your breathing,

Allow your breath to become slow and soft.

Feeling your belly expand on the inhale,

Contract and release on the exhale,

Inhaling opening space in the body,

Exhaling releasing any residual tension.

Feeling into the breath as it travels deeply into the belly,

Keeping connection to the sensations here,

Expanding from the navel out through the body,

Its fingertips and toes.

Give yourself permission to relax and release.

Now let's introduce the mantra,

So Hum,

A mantra consisting of two Sanskrit words roughly translating to mean I am that,

Infinite,

Expansive,

Universal life force energy.

Begin to repeat the mantra silently with your inner voice,

Slowly sinking the rhythm of your breath to the mantra.

As you inhale,

Silently repeat the word so in your mind.

As you exhale,

Silently repeat the word hum.

Inhale so,

Exhale hum.

Inhale so,

Exhale hum.

So hum.

So hum.

Keep breathing,

Slowing and aligning your mantra to your breath,

Allowing the intention to flow through you with ease.

I am that.

If you notice your mind begin to wander,

Draw your attention back to the mantra and focus on aligning the mantra with the gentle pace of your breath.

Slowly,

Deeply aligned and focused,

Mantra merging with breath.

I am that.

I am that.

Following your next exhale,

Gently begin to release your mantra and guide your attention back to your soundless,

Natural rhythm of breath.

Take a moment to reflect on the meaning behind the mantra so hum.

I am that.

Reflect on the concept that every breath you take,

You are connecting to all living beings within the universe,

Taking in the same expansive energy and here from that space you are merging into one and the same,

Constantly and continuously supporting one another in the world around you.

When you are ready,

Slowly open your eyes,

Approaching this moment with clarity and sense of infinite connection.

Namaste.
