Namaste.

My name is Amber and welcome to this Heart Chakra meditation.

In this practice I will be chanting the seed sound or Bija Madra for the Heart Chakra,

Anahata,

A heart opening sound intended to harmonize and balance the energy of the Heart Chakra.

When our heart is balanced we are aligned with the energies of compassion and self-acceptance,

Empathy for others and selfless love.

The sound is yam which will be repeated 108 times.

Consider chanting along with me,

Perhaps using a mala to follow along or listen quietly to the mantra,

Repeating it in your mind and taking in the subtle vibrations of sound as they travel through your body and free the mind of thoughts.

Finding a comfortable seated position,

Lengthening through the spine and slightly tucking the chin towards the heart,

Opening the back of the neck,

Inviting a gentle lift of the chest,

Naturally opening and expanding the rib cage,

Closing down the eyes,

Draw your inner awareness to the chest as you focus on the mantra.

Using a deep inhale through the nostrils,

Cleansing exhale out the mouth.

Again inhale deeply and exhale.

Let's begin our practice.
