Welcome to the Bodhi Soul Guided Meditation Sessions and the Mindful Moment Series.

This Mindful Moment on-the-go meditation is part of a series for those who are either short on time or just feeling too overwhelmed to commit to a longer practice.

These short meditations provide a way for you to pause and engage your body's relaxation response.

In turn,

This can help to lower stress and anxiety levels and lead to a more calm and balanced view.

This meditation can be practiced while you are on the go during your day,

Whether at your desk,

In line at a shop,

Or out for a walk.

This is a quick pause and reset to bring you back to a sense of calm.

Let's begin by making sure you are in a safe environment to be focusing your awareness on your breath and away from the task at hand.

Start by either softening your gaze or gently closing your eyes.

Take a few deep inhalations in through your nose and exhalations out with a sigh.

Again,

Inhaling deeply through your nose and exhaling out with a sigh.

Keeping your awareness on your breath,

Begin to inhale to the count of 4 and exhale to the count of 6.

This longer exhalation activates the parasympathetic nervous system,

Which promotes relaxation and calm.

Again,

Inhale to the count of 4 and exhale to the count of 6.

To finish,

Bring your attention back to your surroundings and gently open your eyes if they were closed.
