These short meditations provide a way for you to pause and engage your body's relaxation response.
This can help to lower your stress and anxiety levels and lead to a more calm and balanced you.
Let's begin by finding a comfortable position,
Either seated or lying down.
One where you're alert yet relaxed.
When you're ready,
I invite you to close your eyes and bring your awareness to your breath.
Start by taking a deep inhalation through your nose and exhaling out through your mouth.
Again,
Inhaling deeply through your nose and exhaling out through your mouth.
Now,
Allow your breath to come back to its natural rhythm.
Not forcing,
Just inhaling through your nose and exhaling through your nose.
Give yourself permission to fully relax into the present moment with each breath.
Now,
Begin to silently repeat to yourself,
I am allowed to rest.
Rest is essential nourishment for my well-being.
With rest,
I restore my balance.
I am allowed to rest.

To finish,
Take one last deep inhalation and exhalation.
And when you're ready,
Gently open your eyes.
