Find yourself in a comfortable position.
Inhale deeply and exhale completely.
Take a few moments to find your center and become aware of your surroundings and of your body.
Take a few deep breaths here as you notice the tension lingering within and release it completely with your exhales.
Feel yourself grounded to the earth.
Imagine a beautiful pure white cord connected to your center.
Tied about your waist in an unbreakable knot,
This cord extends to the core of the earth.
You are grounded.
You are safe.
You are secure.
Now,
Imagine your old childhood room.
Recall the furniture,
The floor,
The four walls around you.
Note how you feel as you observe your childhood room.
As you sit and observe your surroundings and recall your childhood memories,
Watch as your childhood self,
Your inner child,
Walks into the room and sits beside you.
Take a moment to notice your childhood self,
The inner child that is still within you.
What does she look like?
How does she carry herself?
As you sit beside one another,
You notice that your childhood self,
Your inner child,
Is sad.
You can feel a weight upon her shoulders.
You sense that she holds back tears.
Now,
Take your inner child's hands and ask her what's on her mind.
Ask her why she is upset and what weight she is carrying on her shoulders.
Offer her the space to speak freely,
To speak her truth completely,
To offload the heavy weights and burdens that she has carried within her delicate frame for so long.
As your inner child continues to offload her burdens,
To say the words that have been too painful to say,
Wrap her up in your arms.
Listen to her.
Give her space to speak freely and listen to what she has to say.
In this safe space,
Take out a piece of paper and pen.
Send them to your inner child and ask her to write down anything that is too painful to say out loud.
Tell her that she is safe,
She is secure,
She is free to be heard completely.
Ask her to dig deep and write down any pain that she has been carrying and is struggling to offload.
When she is finished,
Ask her if you can read what she has written and if she says yes,
Take the piece of paper and begin to read the words she has spilled.
Mix it with your inner child and observe the feelings that rise.
Whatever your inner child needs,
Offer it to her now.
If it's love that she seeks,
Shower her with love.
If she needs validated,
Shower her with validations.
If it's space to breathe,
Create a sacred space for her to be.
If it's comfort,
Offer her endless hugs.
If she needs encouragement,
Praise her for being exactly who she is meant to be and the shining person she is right now.
Be with her,
Love her,
Encourage her,
Validate her,
Offer her the space to be who she is meant to be.
Wrap your inner child in your arms and carry her somewhere that feels safe.
Wherever this place may be,
Take her there,
Far away from any pain that she has struggled to escape.
Sit with her in this space as long as you would like.
As you awake from this meditation,
Know that you may revisit this space with her anytime you would like.
Tell her that you were there for her to meet her needs,
That you were there to love and support her unapologetically.
And as you go about your daily life,
Remember to nurture her needs.
Give her permission to show up in your life,
To bring her innate,
Natural,
Beautiful curiosities and joy,
Her passions,
Her beauty into your current reality.
Honor her and know that she is with you always.
When you are ready,
Begin to wiggle your toes and your fingers and slowly open your eyes.
Thank yourself for taking the time to give your inner child a voice and to offer her anything that she may have needed.
Until next time,
Namaste.
