Welcome to this meditation to help you drift into sleep,

Preparing your space,

Your bed,

Getting as cozy and comfortable as you'd like to be,

Pausing the recording if you need,

And then coming back when you're ready,

Checking to make sure you're as comfortable as you'd like to be,

Checking your body if you need to take a stretch,

Or find the right position you have the control to choose what you need,

To settle yourself in,

To help you get a little bit more comfortable,

Creating an inviting environment for your deepest and best quality of slumber,

Knowing that every tiny little effort you make is for your well-being,

For you to restore and replenish both body and brain.

As you become more and more subtle,

Connect to both body and breath,

Feeling the beautiful ebb and flow of your breath,

And your body,

Receiving this life force,

Nourishing you while you rest.

If your mind begins to think,

Know that you're in your thinking mind,

And then coming back to yourself in your present moment,

Your body or your breath,

Without judging whatever comes up,

Allowing yourself to just be,

Loving yourself with an open heart,

Compassionate to all of your experiences here and now,

No longer thinking about what you need to get done for tomorrow or the next day,

Or the day after that,

Surrendering to each moment as it arises,

You're present to yourself,

A soft awareness of both body and breath,

Maintaining a sweet,

Simple presence,

Allowing yourself to just be,

Simply be,

Softly be,

As you let your body become heavier and heavier,

Heavier and heavier,

Bringing you closer and closer,

Each moment,

To a restful,

Refreshing sleep.

Every moment,

You're present,

Aligned within,

Receiving each breath,

Receiving each moment,

Present to yourself here and now,

Sweetly,

Simply,

Resting at peace.

If a thought enters your mind,

No need to entertain or entangle with it,

Just be aware,

Surrendering each thought into the quiet stillness around you,

You can sense your body beginning to let go,

Moment by moment,

Surrendering the day,

Completely letting go,

Into the peaceful still evening,

Enjoying this process of letting go,

Imagine now that you're walking through a green pine forest,

It's the evening,

The air is cool,

You can hear an owl in the distance,

As you walk along a stone path,

You make your way through the forest into a clearing,

Where there's a beautiful,

Still lake,

The lake is so still,

It's like a mirror of glass,

Above you in the midnight blue sky,

Millions of stars around you,

Each tiny little star,

Twinkling,

Some brighter than the others,

Some forming constellations in the sky,

You see a shooting star,

It warms your smile,

You feel the stillness of the lake,

It stills and soothes your nervous system,

The hemispheres of your brain begin to melt,

As the activity of your brain decreases,

Your attention anchored into each moment passing,

Into each now you encounter,

Your open,

Able to reflect,

Whatever's around you,

Because there's no activity within you,

Even as you breathe,

The air you breathe is cool,

Entering your nose,

Entering your lungs,

You're receiving your breath without doing anything,

The breath breathing you,

Nourishing,

Aware of the ebb and flow of the breath,

Moving of it's own accord,

Your breath is precious,

Your constant companion,

Even when you drift off into a deep sleep,

Your life force,

Nourishing your body,

Your mind surrenders the activity of the day,

Your skin,

Becomes soft and supple,

The furrow of your brow,

Smoothing out,

Any tension around your jaw,

Behind your ears,

Begins to dissolve,

With each moment you're present,

You dissolve your past,

You dissolve your future,

You enter into the magic dimension,

The present moment,

Soothing you,

Into a good night's sleep,

Just like the lake,

Reflecting the moon,

Reflecting the sun,

You,

Reflecting the stillness around you,

Just like the calm,

Tranquil nature of the lake,

If you looked above the lake,

Into the midnight blue sky,

You can see the stars,

Dancing around,

Beginning to form a word,

That word is peace,

Peace shining above,

All around you,

Lighting up the sky,

Is peace,

You see the reflection of the words form brilliantly,

Clearly,

On that lake,

You're surrounded by peace,

You're surrounded by light,

You're grateful for this very moment,

This connection to self,

This connection to peace,

This connection to stillness,

A deep soft stillness,

That resides within you,

As you allow yourself to relax,

A sweet,

Soft rest,

Enjoying your breath,

The night sky,

The relaxed stillness of your body,

You're headed into a restful night's sleep,

Your eyelids are heavy,

Your skin is melting,

Your jaw and neck relaxed,

If you'd like,

You can continue this peace that you have,

As you stay in a state of restful sleep,

Allowing yourself to drift off,

Going into a deeper state of relaxation,

Maybe entering dream state,

Sweet,

Pleasant dreams,

Maybe entering deeper,

Unconscious sleep,

If you're moving into the rest of your evening,

Enjoying the rest of your evening,

Maintaining a sense of peace and presence,

Sleep softly and sweetly,
