Welcome to this morning yoga nidra practice for energy.
Direct it in the way that you want it to go today.
So if you're lying down in your bed,
Getting comfortable on your back if you like,
Or perhaps a seated posture,
Eyes softly closed or lowered,
Noticing how you're feeling right now.
Notice if there's anything coming up for you.
As you notice how you feel,
Stay as neutral as you can.
As you observe your thoughts and feelings this morning,
Breathing in,
Welcoming the day,
And as you exhale,
Release any stagnation that's accumulated over the evening into the morning.
A few breaths in welcoming in your day,
Opening your heart to this day,
As if you're breathing in rays of sunshine.
You might feel your ribs expanding and then contracting.
After your next exhalation,
Let your breath go back to a natural rhythm,
Clearing your mind space behind your forehead,
Behind your eyebrows,
Nothing but space in your mind.
Ask yourself,
What is it that I want to accomplish today?
Is there a task you need to complete?
Or would you like to greet the day with a positive mind frame?
Or an open heart?
Let your intention,
Your seed that you'll grow over the day,
An anchor that you can remind yourself that this is your intention,
That you'll be manifesting by the end of your day.
When you have your intention,
Repeat it in your mind with an open heart.

Let's scan your body.
As we scan your body,
Let's infuse it with light from the sun,
The beautiful sun coming up from the horizon with all of its brilliant various colors,
Infusing into your body,
Energizing your body.
Move your awareness to your right hand,
The fingers,
The rays of sun dancing on your fingers individually,
Sending light into the palm of your right hand,
Pouring over the back of your right hand,
Right wrist,
Forearm,
Elbow,
Upper arm,
Shoulder,
Your right arm from your fingertips to your right shoulder,
A radiance glowing,
Emanating from that arm.
Focus to the right side of your torso,
Right waist,
Hip,
Thigh,
Knee,
Shin,
Calf,
Ankle,
Right foot,
The toes of your right foot.
The right side of your body radiating with this beautiful sunrise,
Glowing from your body,
Various colors.
Shift your awareness to the left side now,
A beautiful sunrise pouring down upon your left fingers,
Into the palm of your left hand,
The back of your left hand,
Left wrist,
Forearm,
Elbow,
Upper arm,
Shoulder,
From your fingers to your shoulder,
A sunrise dancing over those parts of your body.
The left side torso,
Left waist,
Hip,
Thigh,
Knee,
Shin,
Calf,
Ankle,
Top of the left foot,
Toes of the left foot.
The left side of your body radiant with the sunrise.
Move your awareness to the back of your body,
Backs of heels,
Backs of legs,
The buttocks,
Back of hips,
Lower back,
Middle back,
Upper back,
The whole of your spine,
Sun shining down upon your back,
Warming you,
Energizing you.
Back of neck,
Back of head,
Crown of head,
A golden crown,
Your forehead,
Eyebrows,
Eyelids,
The muscles around your eyes,
The cheeks bright and rosy,
Your jaw relaxed,
Your lips slightly apart,
You can feel a tingling sensation on your lips,
Tongue,
Throat,
Upper chest,
Middle chest,
Feel the sun pouring down into your heart and your lungs,
Refreshing your heart and your lungs,
The upper belly,
Lower belly,
Navel center.
Feeling your whole body filled with sunlight,
A beautiful sunrise,
Rising up,
The sun,
The light emerges from you,
Its source within you throughout the rest of your day.
Mentally repeat your intention for the rest of your day,
Confident that you'll manifest it by the end of your day.
Become aware of your body,
Observing the change in your body from the beginning to the end of your practice,
Bring your palms to prayer at the center of your heart,
Bowing down to the light within you,
Honoring the light within you and around you.
