This meditation is for when your thoughts won't sit still,
And that's okay.
Hey darling,
If your mind's been running in a million directions,
Thinking about what you forgot,
What's next,
Or what you didn't get done,
You're not alone.
You don't have to clear your mind to rest it.
You just have to stop fighting it.
So let's sit here together,
Or lie down if that feels better.
Gently close your eyes or just soften your gaze.
Do whatever feels right in this moment.
This is your space,
Your breath,
Your pause.
Let the thoughts come,
But let them pass.
You don't have to hush your mind,
Darling,
You just have to hold it gently,
Just like the ground beneath you is holding you gently,
Fully,
Without question.
Take a deep breath in through your nose,
And slowly exhale through your mouth.
Again,
In through the nose,
Out through the mouth,
Letting go of a little pressure.
Maybe it's the pressure to have it all figured out.
Maybe it's the guilt for needing to rest.
Maybe it's the voice that tells you you're doing it wrong.
Let it go here,
Darling,
Right now,
In this breath.
You don't need to be perfect,
You just need to be present.
Even if your mind is busy,
Even if it's loud in there,
You're still allowed to rest.
Your thoughts don't have to leave,
They just don't have to leave.
Now repeat softly in your mind,
Or aloud.
Free your mind,
And the rest will follow.
My peace doesn't depend on silence.
It begins with permission.
And now gently bring attention to your body.
Let's scan from the crown of your head,
All the way to your toes.
Soften your forehead.
Unclench your jaw.
Drop your shoulders.
Release your belly.
Let your arms feel heavy.
Soften your hips.
Release your knees,
Your calves,
All the way down to your feet.
Give yourself permission to fully land here.
No tension to carry.
No role to play.
No performance.
Just you,
Breathing,
Softening,
And being.
If your thoughts come roaring back,
That's okay,
Darling.
You don't have to chase them away.
Let them drift through like clouds in a wide open sky.
You're not lost in the storm.
You're the one watching it pass.
This stillness,
This breath,
This is your anchor.
As we come to a close,
Let's take one final inhale through the nose.
And gently exhale through the mouth.
Feel the quiet.
Even if it's not silent.
Feel the steadiness.
Even if you still feel movement inside.
You showed up for yourself today,
Darling,
And that is more than enough.
If you feel cold,
Place one hand on your heart and whisper.
I've got me,
Even in the mess,
Even in the noise.
And when you're ready,
Slowly blink your eyes open.
Come back into your space.
And carry this softness with you,
Darling.
Because even in chaos,
You don't have to abandon yourself.
You can come back to your breath,
To your body,
And your peace.
Anytime.
