Good morning,

My darling.

Find a comfortable position,

Maybe you're still lying in bed or sitting up,

Wherever you landed this morning is the right space to be for you.

Let your shoulders drop,

Unclench your jaw,

And if it feels safe,

Gently close your eyes or soften your gaze.

Take a slow breath in through your nose,

And a gentle exhale out through the mouth.

Again,

Breathing in the possibility of a new day and breathing out anything you don't need to carry forward.

The morning doesn't ask you to have it all figured out.

It doesn't demand energy,

Motivation,

Or clarity.

Morning simply says,

You're here.

Feel your body waking in its own time,

The quiet weight of being held by the bed,

The chair,

The floor beneath you.

Notice the gentle rhythm of your breath and the steady beat of your heart.

If your mind starts listing,

Planning,

Or worrying,

That's okay.

Thoughts are part of being human.

You don't need to push them away.

Just notice and return to your breath.

Inhale slowly,

Exhale fully.

Let this breath be a soft reset,

Not a fresh start that demands perfection,

But a begin-again that allows room for real life.

Silently repeat to yourself,

I wake up softly today.
