Hello, my darlin, I wanted to share with you a meditation called Safe Haven, which encourages you to find refuge and security within yourself. You have the ability to be your own safe space. During times of self-doubt or struggles with mental health, we tend to search for a safe and loving place where we can feel at ease. While it is typical to seek this support externally, through relationships or specific environments, it is just as important to cultivate feelings of love and peace within us. I hope you find joy in the journey of discovering inner peace!

Hello my darling,

I'm here today to introduce you to a meditation called safe haven,

Where you can look within yourself for a sense of refuge and security.

You have the power to be your own safe haven.

When we struggle with self-love or mental health issues,

We often seek out a safe space where we feel loved and calm.

It is common to look for this kind of support outside of ourselves,

Such as in a person or a place.

While having a strong support system is valuable,

It is equally important to nurture feelings of love and calm within ourselves.

Finding peace within yourself is a wonderful journey that I personally struggled with in the past.

It wasn't until I received a medical diagnosis leading to a mental illness with a high mortality rate that I began to prioritize creating my own safe space.

I believe you have the ability to discover a place of safety and comfort within yourself.

If you are willing to embark on the journey within,

Start by taking a deep breath,

And then exhaling audibly.

As you gradually slow down your breathing,

You may be ready to relax your gaze or close your eyes.

Do not be afraid of the darkness you see behind your closed eyelids,

For we will bring light.

Allow the music playing in the background to guide you inward and open you up.

Soon a white light will illuminate the lantern you hold,

Lighting the path as my voice leads you down it.

Can you imagine yourself holding a lantern,

Illuminated by the brightest light?

This light is your own inner light.

There is no need to fear,

As you are within yourself and only you know your true self.

You shine brightly,

My darling.

Allow your breath to direct your focus and let the light shine upon your essence.

Allow this light to fill your spirit with warmth and tranquility.

It's the peace and security you feel within yourself.

Let our life's wounds be the entrance and exit points for this light to come and then to go.

Rumi writes,

The wound is the place where the light enters you.

No one can extinguish your light,

My darling,

Not even yourself.

It can be challenging to find peace and security within ourselves as our minds are preoccupied and distracted with negative thoughts.

However,

I invite you to take a moment to acknowledge the presence within yourself before your mind pulls you away from it.

Hold on to the bright light that outshines these distractions.

You are beginning to feel the intense brightness around you that may be overwhelming.

It radiates through you and keeps you in the moment.

Oh embrace it.

The light is emanating from you,

So inhale and exhale deeply to allow the radiant glow to envelop you.

The glow is making you feel comfortable and at ease.

You feel weightless as you breathe freely.

Your body is flexible and your face feels relaxed.

Embrace the sensation and begin to let yourself return to the world around you,

Feeling the warmth inside and now outside of you.

Notice how it glimmers as you wiggle your fingers and toes and as you gently open your eyes like the wings of a butterfly fluttering in sparkles.

You can tap into this feeling in this moment whenever you need to,

Just remember that.

Until we meet again my darling,

Keep shining brightly.
