Hi darling,
When your mind feels loud and your body feels tense,
This meditation invites you to soften,
Breathe,
And settle back into yourself.
So whenever you're ready,
Find a comfortable position,
Let your body settle into the support beneath you.
Soften your eyes or allow them to close,
Take a slow breath in through your nose and a gentle exhale out through your mouth.
Let your shoulders lower,
Release your jaw,
Let your belly soften,
Nothing to fix,
Nothing to figure out,
Just this moment,
And breathe out.
Imagine whatever you're feeling,
The thoughts,
The tension,
Swirl as tiny particles floating in water,
Like a snow globe after it's been shaken.
This moment doesn't mean anything is wrong,
It's just energy shifting.
You don't have to push it away,
You don't have to hold on to it either,
Just allow.
Now let everything begin to settle,
Slowly,
Gently,
And naturally.
Your breath is the gravity,
Inhale to soften and exhale to release,
Feel your body get heavier,
Supported,
And held.
You are safe here,
If your mind wanders,
That's okay,
Just come back to your breath,
With a slow,
Gentle inhale and a slow,
Gentle exhale,
Let it settle,
Let you settle.
Gently repeat after me,
Out loud or in your mind,
I am allowed to slow down,
I am allowed to be gentle with myself,
Begin to notice your hands,
Your feet,
Your chest,
Take a slow breath in and a soft exhale out,
You did enough,
You are enough,
And you can always come back to calm.
So when you're ready,
Blink your eyes open slowly,
You are here in your space,
You've come back to calm my darling.
