Good morning,
Darling.
Before you try to be strong,
Before you pick up the weight you carried yesterday,
Take a breath.
Let your shoulders soften.
Let your jaw unclench.
Let your heart have a moment to be held.
Find a comfortable position,
Lying down,
Setting up,
Or still wrapped in blankets.
Let your breath be slow and gently close your eyes.
Take a deep breath in and a long,
Tender breath out.
Let this morning begin with gentleness,
And let this prayer pour softly into the places that hurt.
May the light that made me,
Whether I know it is God,
The universe,
Love,
Spirit,
Or something unnamed but deeply felt,
Meet me here in the tender spaces I usually hide.
May it soothe what aches,
Soften what's tight,
And bring warmth to the places inside me that feel cold or forgotten.
Today may I feel myself without fear of being swallowed by the feeling.
May I breathe through the heaviness and trust that nothing stays this hard forever.
May I remember that emotions are waves,
None of them are permanent,
All of them passing.
Where there is sadness,
May comfort rise.
Where there is anxiety,
May steadiness find me.
Where there is grief,
May love gather around it like arms.
And where there is numbness,
May the smallest spark of aliveness return.
May I release the need to pretend.
May I take off the armor.
May I let my heart rest without apologizing for its exhaustion.
Help me offer myself grace today,
Not because I've earned it,
But because I am human.
Help me trust that healing doesn't happen in grand moments,
But in small breaths,
Quiet mornings,
And tiny openings of the heart.
And may I remember,
Even in my hurt,
That I am held,
Guided,
And never alone.
Amen or simply thank you.
Take one last slow breath in,
And let it gently out of your body.
As you come back into your room,
Carry this tenderness with you.
Not as something fragile,
But as something sacred.
Let your healing move with you today in small breaths,
Quiet choices,
And moments where you choose softness over strain.
You are mending,
Darling.
Not all at once,
But beautifully,
Naturally,
And in your own perfect way.
Thank you for bringing your morning here.
May you walk through the day wrapped in peace.
