This is a space to slow down,
Reconnect,
And return to the wisdom of your breath.
Wherever this practice finds you today,
Take a moment just to arrive.
Find a comfortable seat.
You can be laying down,
Whatever feels comfortable.
Just allow yourself to naturally settle into the space.
If you feel safe and it feels good to do so,
Either close your eyes or have a soft gaze.
Take a slow inhale through the nose and softly release through the mouth.
Again,
Inhale.
Exhale,
Quiet sigh.
The day is just beginning and we do not need to rush into it.
Let this moment be just for you and just a soft doorway into the day ahead.
So as souls,
As these sensitive souls,
Emotions,
You know,
They go through our body and it's normal for these things to happen.
The emotions in a room,
The shifts,
The energy,
The uncertain things between what's said.
And while this death can sometimes feel heavy,
It's also a beautiful form of awareness.
Your sensitivity is not something to hide.
It is something to care for.
So today we begin gently.
We're going to begin breathing in through the nose.
Inhale slowly for four.
And we're going to exhale softly for six.
So inhaling for two,
Three,
Four.
Exhale,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five,
Six.
Let the exhales be long.
Keep going at your own pace.
Like a wave slowly returning to the ocean.
And as you exhale,
Releasing that,
Letting it go back out.
Each breath in,
The ocean begins to come back towards you.
And as you exhale,
It slowly returns back out.
Each breath out tells our nervous system,
We are safe.
Do two more rounds of this.
Inhaling for four.
And exhaling for six.
Now allow the breath to deepen slightly.
Inhale through the nose,
And exhale through the nose.
Imagine the breath as a soft morning light.
Not harsh,
Not overwhelming,
Just a warm glow,
Slowly filling the body.
Slowing our breath down even more to allow more of this light to seep into us.
And as we exhale,
Allowing it to radiate through the entire body.
With your eyes closed,
Imagine this.
As you inhale light coming in.
And as you exhale,
Imagine yourself radiating like the sun.
Your breath is almost as if it's waking up from the inside out.
Deep breaths in.
Slow exhales out.
Now bring a gentle phrase into your breath.
As you inhale,
Silently say,
I honor my sensitivity.
And as you exhale,
It is my quiet strength.
Inhale,
I honor my sensitivity.
Exhale,
Is my quiet strength.
Keep repeating these to yourself silently.
Allow these words to slowly move through your breath.
The world often celebrates loud energy.
But there is power in softness.
There is wisdom in feeling deeply.
There is beauty in moving through life with awareness.
As you inhale and honor your sensitivity and exhale,
Remind yourself is a quiet strength.
Reminder that your sensitivity allows you to notice small miracles.
Little things.
Morning light on a wall.
The warmth of someone's voice.
The quiet magic of just being alive.
Let the awareness be a gift today.
Keep going with this inhale mantra and exhale.
I'll slowly return back to that inhale for four and exhale for six.
Inhaling for two,
Three,
Four.
Exhale for two,
Three,
Four,
Five,
Six.
Inhale.
Exhale.
Inhale.
Exhale.
Keep going.
Feel this breath.
Again,
Like the rising and lowering of the tide on a beach.
Maybe you start to bring in other senses.
Maybe you can feel the sand in your toes.
Maybe you can hear the sound of the ocean.
Maybe you can begin to imagine what that salty air may smell like.
You start to feel that sun on your skin but it's actually radiating from within.
Keep going with this breath.
In for four.
Out for six.
Now slowly return to a natural rhythm of breath.
Feel the body sitting here,
Breathing.
Notice the calm that is settling within you now.
You don't have to meet the world with armor every day or at all.
You can meet it with presence,
With softness,
With truth.
Take one more deep inhale.
We're going to tense up our entire body and as we exhale,
We're going to release and breathe out through the mouth.
So let's do it together.
Inhale.
Tense up the entire body,
The face,
The arms.
Squeeze.
Exhale.
Release.
If it feels comfortable,
Place one hand over the heart,
One hand over the belly.
Feel this quiet rhythm between your palm and set a gentle intention for yourself today.
Maybe it is peace.
Maybe it's boundaries or maybe it's simply moving gently through the world with absolute presence.
Whatever it is,
Let it travel with your breath.
Take one final deep inhale.
Soft exhale.
