Hi,

It's JJ.

Welcome to Day 10 of our 21-Day Meditation Challenge for Weight Loss.

Today's focus is on managing stress.

Stress is a common part of life,

But learning how to handle it effectively is crucial for maintaining overall well-being and staying on track with your goals.

Begin by finding a comfortable seated position.

You can sit in a chair with your feet flat on the ground or cross-legged on a cushion.

Let your spine be straight yet relaxed and place your hands gently on your knees or in your lap.

Close your eyes and take a deep breath in through your nose,

Filling your lungs completely.

Hold the breath for a moment,

Then exhale slowly through your mouth,

Releasing any tension.

Repeat this two more times,

And each time feeling more centered and at ease.

Now,

Bring your attention to your body and start by scanning from the top of your head down to your toes,

Noticing any areas of attention or discomfort.

These areas may be holding onto stress.

As you continue to breathe,

Focus on these areas of attention.

With each inhale,

Imagine sending your breath to these spots,

And with each exhale,

Feel the tension releasing and melting away.

Now,

Shift your focus to your breath and noticing the rhythm of your inhalation and exhalation.

As you breathe in,

Imagine drawing in calm and soothing energy.

As you breathe out,

Picture releasing all stress,

Tension,

And worries.

With each breath,

Feel your body becoming lighter,

More relaxed,

And at peace.

Imagine the stress leaving your body like dark clouds dissolving in the sky,

Replaced by a clear,

Calm environment.

If stressful thoughts arise,

Simply acknowledge them without judgment and let them drift away with your breath.

Bring your focus back to the sensation of the breath moving in and out,

Grounding you in the present moment.

Now that you have released stress,

Take a moment to set an intention for how you will manage stress moving forward.

It might be something like,

I choose to respond to stress with calm and clarity.

I release what I cannot control and focus on what I can.

Silently repeat your intention to yourself,

Letting it resonate throughout your entire being.

Feel this intention empowering you to handle stress with grace and resilience.

Take a final deep breath in,

Filling your body with a sense of calm and balance.

Exhale slowly and bring your awareness back to the present moment.

Gently wiggle your fingers and toes Stretch if you need to.

When you are ready,

Open your eyes,

Feeling refreshed,

Relaxed,

And ready to face the day with a clear mind.

Thank yourself for taking this time to manage stress and prioritize your well-being.
