The opening to the difficult practice is challenging our hard-wiring of moving away from difficulty and instead invites us to do the opposite and move towards it. It provides an opportunity to bring a current challenge in our lives to the work bench of your mind and be curious about how it presents in the body and -as best you can- acknowledging it with kindness rather then resistance. Instead of pushing away, you make space for it, noticing how it shows up in the body and allowing it to be just as it is. You will notice the practice begins with an open awareness meditation and ends with opening to the difficult.
