Welcome to this yoga nidra practice
where we'll journey through the spaces between conscious awareness
and restful consciousness
focusing on igniting the inner fire
of the solar plexus chakra,
Manipura
empowering you to embrace confidence
cultivating personal power
and harnessing the power of manifestation
Let's begin by finding a comfortable position
whatever this means for you
it could be lying down on your back
with your arms resting gently by the sides
supported by props like blankets,
Pillows,
Cushions
and an eye covering
closing your eyes and taking a deep cleansing breath inward
and as you exhale
allow your body to relax
letting go of any tensions,
Any worries
and surrendering yourself to this present moment
Could you become more comfortable?
Are there any shifts or adjustments that you could find
to provide you with optimal comfort?
Settling into the support of your body
allowing gravity to cradle your physical body
allowing your breath to carry you
into a space of softness and stillness
noticing the breath here
the gentle inhalation and exhalation
perhaps noticing the warmth
as the breath touches the lips on the exhale
Take a moment
to reflect on an intention you may have
this could be a sankalpa you're already aware of
this could be a sankalpa you're already working with
or perhaps you wish to cultivate more confidence
tap into your personal power
or manifest your desires
whatever it may be
Bring it to the forefront of your awareness
and allow it to be a guiding light throughout this practice
Could you shift your awareness
to the physical body
beginning at the toes
Slowly let awareness drift through each part of your body
allowing the embers of Manipura
to guide a sense of relaxation
and release of tension to each area
Allow the embers to melt away the tensions moving up through the legs
the hips
the abdomen
chest,
Shoulders,
And arms
the neck,
All the way up to the crown of your head
With each breath
allowing the tensions to soften
and welcoming an opportunity to tune inward
noticing any lingering tensions here
and allowing the breath to be the guide into stillness and relaxation
Becoming aware of your breath
as it flows in and out of your body
noticing the natural rhythm
without trying to control it
or harness it
Let the sense of the natural rise and fall of the chest and abdomen
be present with each inhale and exhale
anchoring yourself to the present moment
to this practice
to your intention
Pay attention to the sensation of warmth
at the space of the solar plexus
this space located just above your navel
Could you visualize a radiant ember glowing brightly in this space
glowing with warmth and empowerment
As you inhale,
Imagine drawing in this energy
and as you exhale
feel it expanding and radiating outwards
filling you with confidence and strength
Each breath feeding the ember
With each breath inward
drawing on the expanse of confidence
and empowerment
In the space of your mind
could you draw in this energy of focusing on empowerment and self-belief
You might mentally whisper
I am confident
I am powerful
I manifest my desires with ease
Whichever you choose
Drawing yourself into your subconscious
planting the seed of your intention or sankalpa
and allowing it to draw on the energy from Manipura
Could you welcome awareness to drift back to the breath
Could you visualize yourself standing in a vast field of golden light
surrounded by the energy of the sun
feeling the warmth of the sun's rays on the skin
allowing it to fill you with vitality
and with courage
With each breath imagine this golden light infusing energy
into every cell of your being
allowing it to illuminate your inner fire
to ignite your sense of purpose
or to give the power of manifestation
Welcoming a rotation of warmth through the whole body
Could you allow your ears to presence the sound of my voice
and as each point is called
could you imagine sending the warmth
the sense of purpose
Could you imagine sending the warmth
the sense of energetic awareness
to each point in the body
Visualize a point,
A radiant ember
at the center of the forehead
Imagining this light expanding
radiating confident and expansive energy
on the journey throughout the whole body
Sensing the center of the forehead between the brows
the back of the head
and the base of the skull
Effortless and relaxed
Sense the eyes
the ears
the cheeks
the eyebrows
the top lip
bottom lip
the inner walls of the mouth
the root of the tongue
Sensing both the right ear
and the left ear
both ears listening and aware
Sensing the warmth at the center of the throat
the heart center
Awareness of both shoulders simultaneously
both upper arms
elbows
lower arms
wrists and hands
Sensing both little fingers
second finger
third finger
fourth finger
and the thumbs
Sensing the front of the heart
the space behind the heart
and all around the heart
Sensing Manipura and the space above the navel
Drawing on this energetic awareness
down into the space of the abdomen
Allowing this wave of confidence
radiating
belly
pelvis
sacrum
Sensing both hips together
the thighs
knees
feet
sensing the soles of the feet
the tops of the feet
and each of the toes
small toe
fourth toe
and big toe
Sensing the toes all the way up into the hips
Sensing both legs
and both arms
Sensing the whole back body
from crown of the head down to the heels
the entire front side of the body
from forehead to toes
Imagine your attention moving through the whole body
The whole body complete
filled with a sense of courage
the ability to manifest
Allowing this cascade of warmth and light
This relaxation effortlessly drifting through the whole body
Begin to notice the breath
effortless
soothing
Allowing the breath to become an anchor in this space of relaxation
Begin counting your breaths
Counting your breaths backward from ten
With each exhalation,
Count one number down from ten
until you reach one
Count from the space of your mind
and if you lose track or your mind begins to wander
Begin the count again
as if each count was a step towards the subconscious space
of your own inner wisdom
Rising back up the steps to a present awareness
Could you imagine yourself surrounded by the golden light again?
This light surrounding the whole body
and reaching out into the layers beyond your physical being
Expanding out into the space all around you
Taking a moment to visualize yourself basking in this light
Illuminating your whole being
Could you sense yourself accomplishing your goals
with ease and confidence?
Perhaps here you see yourself stepping into your authentic self
Radiating empowerment
Exuding confidence in every aspect of your life
In the way that the light beams from beyond
Welcoming back awareness to the space of breath
In the way that the light beams from beyond
In the way that the light beams from beyond
Bringing back awareness to the space of breath
Could you feel it flowing in and out of the nostrils or mouth?
Could you sense the physical sensations
present on the flow of breath?
Beginning to notice the physical sensations
Sensations expanding into the body
Noticing the touch of the fingers
The heels touching the surface beneath you
Waking the physical sensations of touch
back into the present moment
Bringing fingertips to the thumb
Or wiggling out into the fingers and toes
Allowing your head
to move from side to side
Perhaps the eye covering falls to one side from the face
Whenever you are ready
Opening the eyes gently
to welcome in the surroundings
As we come to the end of this practice
Bring your hands to the space of the belly or the heart
And allow yourself to express gratitude
for this opportunity to nurture and empower yourself
To make space for yourself in the day
Knowing that you can return to this place of inner strength
and confidence whenever you need to
That you can come back to this practice whenever you need it
as a support
