Hello sweet human.

Welcome to Mind Your Mindful with Brianna Marie.

Today we will be going on a short journey.

Many of us have many thoughts happening at one time and this meditation is meant to support you in compartmentalizing and maybe putting some of those thoughts up on a shelf to come back to at a later time.

Begin by finding a comfortable place to sit or lie down.

Optimizing the comforts to settle into your current space.

Could you close down through the eyes or keep a very soft gaze?

And as you settle in,

Could you take a deep breath in?

Slowly exhaling.

And as you begin to center your focus on the breath,

This natural rise and fall,

You might wish to inhale deeply through the nose,

Filling your lungs with air,

Pausing for a moment,

And then exhaling slowly through the mouth.

Welcoming a soothing sensation of air as it flows in and out of your body.

Repeating the cycle two more times,

Allowing each breath to draw you into a deeper state of relaxation.

Could you bring your awareness to the body?

Noticing any areas of tension and consciously releasing them.

Using the breath as a guide to start from the crown of the head and gently moving down through the face,

Neck,

Shoulders,

Arms,

Chest,

Back,

Abdomen,

Abdomen,

Hips,

Legs,

And feet.

Inviting your body to become soft and relaxed with each breath.

Could you welcome in a visualization of your mind as a room filled with the thoughts,

Feelings,

And sensations?

Imagining yourself standing in this room,

Calmly observing the clutter.

Calmly observing the clutter.

One by one,

You begin to pick up each thought,

Each feeling,

And each sensation.

Gently acknowledging each one and then setting it aside on a shelf.

Knowing that you can return to them later if needed,

But for now,

Let them be organized and out of the way.

Welcome your awareness to the present moment.

Noticing the sensations in the here and now.

Noticing the sensations in the here and now.

The feeling of gravity below the body.

The sensation of air on the skin.

Any soft sounds around you.

Embracing the now fully and completely.

In this moment,

You may wish to repeat to yourself an affirmation.

You might say,

I am at peace,

I am in control,

Or my mind is clear.

I am at peace,

I am in control,

My mind is clear and focused.

Choosing the affirmation that resonates with you deeply or utilizing one of your own.

Welcome the breath to reinforce the sense of clarity.

Taking one final deep breath in,

Holding it for a brief moment,

And exhaling slowly.

Exhaling slowly.

When you feel very ready,

Gently open the eyes,

Place the hands at the space of the heart,

And give yourself a sense of gratitude for creating this short time and space to unclutter the mind.

Thank you for practicing with me today.

And I welcome you to leave a little comment or subscribe to Mind Your Mindful.
