Welcome to this guided meditation for letting go.
Finding peace.
And embracing change.
Find a comfortable position,
Somewhere you can allow yourself to settle in for the next few minutes.
Whether you're sitting comfortably.
In a chair or lying down.
Just give yourself permission to be right here.
There's nothing to figure out.
You know where else you need to be.
Just here in this moment.
And if you feel comfortable,
Gently close your eyes.
Take a slow breath.
Nourishing breath in through your nose.
And gently release through your mouth.
Again,
Breathe in,
Allowing the air to fill your lungs.
And as you exhale,
Soften your shoulders.
Relax your jaw.
And allow your body.
7.
.
.
One more breath.
Breathing in a sense of calm.
And breathing out any tension you may be carrying.
Now imagine yourself standing at the beginning of a beautiful autumn path.
The air is cool and crisp.
Yet the sunlight feels warm against your skin.
All around you the trees are dressed in magnificent shades of gold.
Amber and deep red.
The world seems to have softened.
The sounds are quieter.
The pace feels slower.
And there's something incredibly peaceful about being here.
Begin walking along this beautiful path.
With each step.
You hear the gentle crunch.
Of fallen leaves beneath your feet.
You notice the sunlight filtering through the branches overhead.
Creating little pockets of warmth along the ground.
A soft breeze brushes against your face.
And you take a deep breath.
Breathing in that familiar,
Early breath.
Send to bottom.
As you continue walking.
You notice leaves gently floating through the trees.
Some drift slowly.
Others dance in the breeze before finding their way to the ground.
And you begin to appreciate something.
Something beautiful about this season.
Trees aren't struggling to hold on to their leaves.
You're simply responding to the natural rhythm of life.
Allowing what has served its purpose to fall away.
Making room.
For a season of rest.
And perhaps surrounded by this beautiful reminder of nature's wisdom.
You can begin to consider what autumn might be inviting you to experience in your own life.
Because we too move through seasons.
Seasons of growth.
Seasons of excitement and new beginnings.
Seasons of uncertainty.
And seasons when life invites us to slow down.
Reflect,
And release.
Not every season asks us to bloom.
Some seasons,
Ask us to rest.
To nourish ourselves.
To reconnect with what truly matters.
And to trust that even when things are changing,
Something beautiful will happen.
Can still be unfolding.
As you continue along the path,
You come upon a beautiful wooden bench overlooking a quiet pond.
The water is still reflecting the brilliant colors of the trees surrounding it.
You take a seat.
Feeling supported by the bench beneath you.
You look across at the peaceful water.
And for a moment,
You allow yourself.
To simply be.
Now gently bring your awareness inward.
Consider everything.
You've been carrying lately.
Responsibilities.
The expectations.
The thoughts that seem to take up so much space in your mind.
Perhaps there's something you've been worrying about.
Something you've been trying to control.
You don't need to analyze any of it,
Just notice what comes up.
And I want you to imagine that whatever does feel heavy,
Can be represented by a single autumn leaf.
Resting in the palm of your hand.
Notice its colors.
Its shape.
Delicate edges.
And recognize that whatever this leaf represents has been part of your experience.
You don't need to judge it.
You can simply acknowledge it.
Now imagine a gentle breeze moving through the trees.
And when they're ready.
.
.
You open your hand and allow the leaf to softly flow into the air.
Watch as it floats away,
Carried by the breeze.
And allow yourself to experience what it feels like to loosen your grip.
You Take a nice deep breath in.
And as you exhale,
Silently say to yourself,
I give myself permission to release what I no longer need to carry.
I give myself permission to release what I no longer need to carry.
You Again,
Breathing in.
Gently breathing out.
And bring your awareness back to the beautiful landscape around you.
Notice how the trees are still standing tall.
Their branches may be changing.
Their leaves may be falling.
But they remain deeply rooted.
Supported.
Steady.
And you too have roots.
The experiences that have shaped you,
The wisdom that you've gained.
The strength you've discovered along the way.
Even when life feels uncertain,
Those roots have remained.
You And as you sit here feeling the warmth of the autumn sunlight.
Begin to consider what you'd like to welcome into this new season.
Perhaps it's more peace,
More spaciousness in your days.
Or laughter.
Or perhaps it's simply the freedom to move through life at a pace that feels right for you.
Gently place one hand on your heart.
Feel the warmth of your hand.
Notice the gentle rhythm of your breath.
And allow these words to settle within you.
I honor the season of my life I'm in.
I welcome change with an open heart.
I give myself permission to slow down.
Amen.
Peace.
Take another slow,
Deep breath in.
And imagine that with every inhale,
You're welcoming a little more ease into your body.
A little more softness into your thoughts.
And a little more appreciation for this moment.
Now you can slowly begin to bring your awareness back to the space around you.
Notice the surface supporting your body.
Feeling your feet.
Hands.
Your shoulders.
Take a gentle breath in.
A long,
Peaceful breath out.
And whenever you're ready,
Softly open your eyes.
And as you move into the rest of your day.
I carry with you the quiet wisdom of autumn,
A reminder that change is a natural part of life.
That letting go can create space for something beautiful.
And that sometimes the most nourishing thing we can do is slow down enough.
To appreciate the season.
