Welcome to this Releasing What Has Run Its Course meditation.
Before we begin,
I want to acknowledge something tender and deeply human.
Letting go is hard.
Even when you know something no longer fits.
Even when the season has naturally shifted.
There's often a mix of sadness,
Confusion,
Nostalgia,
And fear.
We hold on because it's familiar.
We hold on because it once mattered.
We hold on because our hearts are wired for connection and continuity.
But letting go isn't the end of your story.
It's the beginning of a whole new chapter.
A chapter filled with possibility,
Expansion,
Truth,
And becoming.
Every time we release what has run its course,
We make space for what's aligned,
What's nourishing,
And what allows us to grow into the fullest version of who we are meant to be.
Let this meditation be a soft,
Safe space to set down what no longer fits so you can gently open to what's next.
Now take a slow breath in and a long exhale out and let your body start to settle and allow the journey to unfold.
Find a comfortable position,
Sitting or lying down.
Let your shoulders drop,
Maybe even moving your neck side to side.
Let your jaw unclench.
Your belly soften and take a slow,
Easy breath in through your nose and a slow,
Gentle release out.
Feel the transition from doing into simply being.
Let your breath find its natural rhythm,
Soft,
Steady,
Unforced.
With each inhale,
Feel yourself becoming more present.
With each exhale,
Feel tension gently dissolving.
Bring your attention to your heart space,
The place within you that always knows the truth,
Even when your mind feels unsure.
Maybe you want to put a hand or both hands on your heart and ask softly,
Without any expectation,
What in my life no longer fits.
This is not for judgment.
This is not to fix.
This is just to notice.
Maybe a relationship surfaces,
An old identity,
A habit you've outgrown,
A dream that has shifted,
Or a role that just feels too tight.
Or maybe nothing arises right now and that is completely okay.
Your heart will speak in its own timing.
Let whatever comes simply be here with you.
Now imagine that whatever surfaced,
Or whatever you're intuitively holding,
Becomes a book resting in your hands.
You don't need to see any details.
Just feel its presence.
Feel its weight.
It's not heavy in a painful way.
It's meaningful.
This book represents a chapter of your life,
Filled with memories,
Lessons,
Growth,
And truth.
Take a moment to honor it.
To acknowledge what it gave you.
To appreciate the role it played in your becoming.
Now in your mind's eye,
See the book begin to close.
Not abruptly.
Not forcefully.
Slowly.
Just naturally.
As if the final page has gently turned,
And the chapter has reached its completion.
Let the cover rest shut,
And feel the peace in that softness.
Now imagine placing this book on a beautiful shelf in front of you.
A shelf that holds every chapter you've ever lived.
Notice that nothing is lost.
Nothing is erased.
And nothing is wasted.
It simply belongs on the shelf now,
As part of your story,
But no longer part of your daily weight.
Take a slow inhale,
And exhale any lingering tension,
And feel the energetic release,
The lightness,
The truth.
If your hands aren't already on your heart,
One or both of them,
Bring one to your heart center and feel the warmth there,
The care,
The gratitude,
The resilience.
And silently repeat,
I release what no longer fits.
I honor the chapter for what it taught me.
I trust the timing of my evolution.
I make space for what is meant for me.
Let these words echo softly within you,
Landing where they need to land,
Soothing what needs to be soothed,
Opening what's ready to open.
Where the book once rested,
Imagine a gentle open space,
Wide,
Peaceful,
Glowing softly.
This is the space of possibility,
The space of becoming,
The space of a new alignment,
New relationships,
New opportunities,
New versions of you.
There is nothing to rush into,
Nothing to force,
Nothing to fill immediately.
Simply breathe into the spaciousness and trust that what is meant for you will find you in this openness.
Take a deep breath in and a slow breath out.
Begin to bring your awareness back to your body.
Feel the support beneath you.
Feel the steadiness within your breath.
Wiggle your fingers and your toes.
Roll your shoulders if that feels good.
Take one final soft inhale and a gentle exhale.
When you're ready,
Open your eyes slowly and return to your day with clarity,
Calm and a lighter heart.
You have released what has run its course.
You have honored what once was and you have opened the door to what is beautifully waiting for you.
