Greetings and welcome to today's meditation,

The Sensory Spiral,

Awakening Through Touch.

Take a moment to just breathe in fully.

If it feels right and comfortable to do so,

Close your eyes.

And allow your breath to gently come out.

Begin to imagine the soft movement of the octopus,

Its arms spiraling gracefully in the water.

Each arm is alive with sensitivity,

Covered in hundreds of suction cups,

Each one capable of sensing feelings and knowing,

Sensing everything around it,

Connecting with it.

Now visualize one of the octopus's arms extending towards you.

As it makes gentle contact with your skin,

You immediately feel a wave of heightened sensations.

Breathe into this connection.

Each breath connects you more.

With each breath,

Allow another arm to softly spiral towards you,

Touching places of your body where sensation may feel dull or disconnected or in the need of some warmth.

Perhaps an arm wraps around your heart space and another spirals towards your belly.

One may rest along your neck or your back.

Each weight of contact awakens deeper feelings within you.

Feel the subtle suction as these arms connect,

Gently drawing in information from your body and your nervous system.

Your body begins to recognize this is safe.

This is supportive.

This is what we have needed.

Now bring forward a part of you that has felt numb,

Unseen,

Or silenced.

Let this part of you receive the nourishing sensation from these arms and suction cups.

Welcoming its right to feel,

To sense,

To exist.

Stay right here.

Breathing in just a little bit deeper and holding it for just a little bit longer.

As the octopus continues to hold you in this sensory spiral,

Maybe you feel a spark of warmth or a ripple of energy,

But simply a sense of being seen.

Maybe your parts are letting you know,

Thank you for allowing us to be held.

Inhale fully.

Allow your belly to just extend with each inhale,

Taking in more air,

More oxygen,

Allowing it to fill up your lungs.

And exhale completely.

Deeply.

And when you're ready,

Imagine the octopus slowly releasing its arms,

Leaving you with a renewed connection to your body,

To your parts,

To your beingness.

Savor it.

Enjoy it.

And when you're ready,

You can begin to return to this space,

Carrying this sensory aliveness with you.

Wiggle your fingers and wiggle your toes,

Allowing yourself to become fully present in this moment.

Thank you so much for joining us today.

Bye-bye for now.
