Wind Down Meditation: Dropping The Social Mask
by Andre Small
This meditation is focused on taking off the mask you might have to put on for various situations in life. I always encourage you to drop the mask entirely, but I understand some masks must be worn. You might be here right now: Can't come down from the performance of holding the mask Holding a version of yourself you no longer need Or even your not sure who you are without the role, which is alot to be with. IN these moments you must have grace for yourself. The performed self doesn't clock off automatically. It needs to be released. And when it isn't — it bleeds into everything after. This is how you let it go. What you'll leave with The performance acknowledged and put down. Not rejected, just consciously released. It did its job. The day is done. A clear sense of the gap. Between who you appeared to be today & what was actually going on underneath. That gap is worth knowing. Contact with who you are without the costume. Both are real. But only one of them is you without it.
