This is a 8 minute morning practice that helps you reclaim your centre before the chaos begins. You'll ground yourself, release yesterday, check in with what you actually need, and set a clear intention for how you want to show up today. Not what you need to accomplish. But who you want to be while doing it. Grounded. Present. Clear. Calm. Compassionate. Focused. This is how you lead your day instead of reacting to it. Do this daily for 30 days, and you'll feel the difference fewer reactive moments, better decisions, more presence in relationships, and less exhaustion at the end of the day. For men ready to stop being run by their days and start leading them.

Morning intention setting.

Most people start their day reactive.

You roll out of bed,

Check your phone,

See the emails,

The news,

The demands,

And you're immediately in response mode.

The day is running you before you've even had coffee.

This practice is different.

It's eight minutes to ground yourself,

Set your intention,

And choose how you want to show up today.

Not what you need to do,

Not what's urgent,

But who you want to be.

Feet on the floor,

Hands resting on your thighs,

Close your eyes when you're ready.

Let's begin.

Take three deep breaths.

In through your nose,

Out through your mouth.

Breathe in,

And out.

Again.

In,

And out.

One more.

In,

And let it go.

Feel the weight of your body in the chair,

Your sit bones rooting down,

Your spine lengthening.

You're grounded,

You're centered.

This is your moment.

Take one more breath.

Let your awareness settle into your body,

Out of your thoughts,

Into this present moment.

Before we move into today,

Let's release yesterday.

Whatever happened yesterday,

Whatever you did or didn't do,

Whatever you said or didn't say,

It's done.

You can't change it.

You can only learn from it.

Take a breath,

And let yesterday go.

You're not carrying it into today.

If there's something you need to address from yesterday,

A conversation,

An apology,

A clean-up,

You'll handle it.

But right now,

You're releasing the weight of it.

You're starting fresh.

Now bring your attention to yourself,

Not your to-do list,

Not your responsibilities,

Just you.

How are you actually feeling right now?

Not how you should feel,

Not how you want to feel,

How you actually feel.

Tired,

Stressed,

Energized,

Clear,

Foggy,

Anxious,

Calm.

Don't judge it.

Just acknowledge it.

This is where you're starting from today.

Now ask yourself,

What do I need today?

Maybe you need rest.

Maybe you need to push.

Maybe you need connection.

Maybe you need space.

Listen to your gut.

What does your body need?

What does your mind need?

What does your heart need?

Acknowledge that.

Even if you can't give yourself all of it today,

At least know that you can.

Know what you're working with.

Now we set the intention.

This isn't a goal.

It's not a task.

It's a quality,

A way of being,

A presence you're choosing to embody today.

Ask yourself,

How do I want to show up today?

Not what you want to accomplish,

But who you want to be while you're doing it.

Maybe you want to show up grounded.

Calm under pressure.

Maybe you want to show up with integrity.

Saying what you mean,

Meaning what you say.

Maybe you want to show up with compassion for yourself and others.

Maybe you want to show up with focus,

With clarity,

With purpose.

Whatever comes to you,

Name it.

Silently or out loud.

This is your intention for the day.

Now imagine yourself moving through your day from that place.

Feel what it's like to embody that quality,

Not perfectly,

But consciously,

With intention.

This is your anchor.

When the day pulls you in a hundred directions,

When you feel yourself getting reactive or scattered,

You can come back to this.

You can ask,

Am I showing up the way I intended?

And if you're not,

You can course-correct.

Now make a commitment.

Place your hand on your heart and say this to yourself.

Today,

I choose to show up as your intention.

When I lose my center,

I will notice and return.

I will not let the day run me.

I will lead my day from presence.

Feel that commitment settle into your body.

This is your practice.

This is how you lead your life.

One day at a time.

One intention at a time.

Take three final breaths.

In and out.

In and out.

In and out.

You're ready.

You know how you want to show up.

That's everything.

When you're ready,

Open your eyes and begin your day.
