Welcome to this sacred stillness meditation.
I invite you to find a comfortable position where you can sit with the spine gently upright and also relax your face,
Your shoulders and the rest of your body.
Just beginning to become aware of your physicality.
Notice anywhere that you might be tightening,
Clenching or holding on to.
Start to let go and release your grip.
Becoming aware of your breath and just starting to feel it as you take that air into the nostrils,
Allowing the body to expand.
Just follow the journey of air as you breathe out in the body.
Become aware of the surface below your body.
Feeling that solid support from below as it holds you steady and safe.
Take a moment to look around you and just notice where you are.
Notice the colours that you can see,
The textures of the surfaces around you and anything else that you notice.
Now just allow your eyelids to gently close.
Beginning to look within.
Beginning to feel the sensations within your body as you breathe.
Breathing in a little bit more deeply with a conscious awareness.
Feeling that rise and fall of your chest and your abdomen as you breathe in and out.
Let it ebb and flow like a gentle wave.
And as you exhale,
Allow the body to just soften and release.
Letting go of that stiffness,
That tightness or any kind of tiredness that you may feel at this time.
Let these sensations bring you into the present moment.
Allow yourself to simply be here now.
Beginning to simply slow down.
Beginning to move towards stillness.
Allow yourself to listen and just notice any sounds that you can hear externally.
Just let yourself observe how many different sounds can you hear in this space,
In this time.
Notice the distance as well.
Do they sound far away or are they closer,
Nearby?
Notice the furthest sound that you can hear from you.
And then the closest.
Can you hear your own breath?
Keep feeling that soft wave,
That gentle pulse and rhythm of your breath.
Keep softening the body with each and every exhale.
Feeling that gentle life force energy as it moves throughout your body.
Letting go and releasing any tension as your nervous system begins to calm.
As any tension or stress within your body begins to dissolve.
Bringing your awareness to the mind and just noticing the speed and quality of your thoughts so far to you.
Allowing them to begin to slow down too.
As we head deeper into this space of stillness.
Allowing any thoughts to simply be present.
Allowing them just to be.
Letting go of the need to change or control anything.
Letting go of any judgments that you might have about your thoughts.
Letting your body breathe as you observe the thoughts.
Just being present with them.
Bringing your awareness down into your heart space.
Just beginning to feel.
Just beginning to turn your attention into your heart center.
Noticing any emotions that you can feel at this time.
And again without any need to control,
Judge or change anything.
Just allow the heart to be.
Allow yourself to observe and to feel.
Let any emotions that need to rise up simply come to the surface.
Let them be present.
And once again focus on just gently softening the body as you exhale.
Beginning to feel free.
Beginning to come into this space of stillness.
Allowing the rhythm and the flow of your breath,
Heart and spirit.
Remembering that you are a loving soul having a human experience.
Affirming to yourself,
I am a loving soul having a human experience.
Letting the energy of that affirmation simply wash over every cell of your being.
Letting that awareness and that soulful remembering.
Bringing you back to the present moment.
Just feeling that connection as you sit here in this space of sacred stillness.
Allowing your soul just to be seen and heard.
Remembering that you are sacred and you are.
Allowing yourself just to be here and breathe in and out.
Feeling that sense of soulful connection.
Allow yourself to stay here for as long as you like.
Even after the hours of meditation has come to an end.
This is your time.
This is your space.
And this is your sacred stillness.
