As you find your way to this moment.
Give yourself plenty of time to get comfortable.
Set up your space.
Or bring a little movement into your body.
To help you come into the here and now.
And then invite your body to land.
Feeling the surface beneath you.
The places in your body that are connected to that surface.
Invite your body to feel the support that you are offering it.
Finding your way here.
Moving towards relief.
And allow your mind the same gentle process of arriving.
And let yourself be right where you are.
With nothing to fix.
Nothing to figure out.
Just arrive.
Our minds are designed to keep us safe.
But with the busy pace of today's world.
We can often find ourselves stuck in ruminations.
Replaying the past.
And anticipating possible futures.
And these loops of thoughts continue on without any resolution.
Leading to a sense of exhaustion.
You've already taken the first step towards shifting this pattern.
Through arriving.
And meeting yourself right where you are.
See if you can take in a deeper breath here,
A nice slow inhale.
And a soft,
Slow exhale.
Beginning to connect more deeply with your body.
And helping you come back into the present moment.
Notice the air coming in and out as you breathe.
The movement of your body with each inhale and exhale.
Moving away from any urgency.
Or have tos.
When we're stuck in that loop of overthinking and worry,
It can feel like we simply can't switch off.
And all that worry is actually a product of our imaginations.
And we can redirect our imaginations.
To be supportive.
Beginning by imagining the many thoughts that have been taking up space in your mind.
Noticing them out in front of you.
Around you.
And begin to let each word be represented by a single dot.
Dots coming together to form lines.
Maybe some of them are thin,
Others thick.
Some short,
Some long.
Moving away from any meaning of the words.
And moving towards a visualization of abstract lines.
Begin to see the energy,
Feel the energy of the thoughts.
How are they moving?
Maybe the lines start to connect with one another,
Forming shapes,
Figures,
Allow it to become a sort of dance.
Allow your imagination to be playful.
And let the images take shape.
Now imagine these lines and shapes starting to move a little further off into the distance.
As your body continues to soften and settle.
Notice your body now.
Has anything shifted or softened?
As we feel our worries farther away from us.
We can feel our body in the present moment.
And be reminded that this is where our guidance comes from.
That place of calm and stillness.
My friend.
You don't have to have it all figured out.
You will always be led.
To the next step that makes the most sense for you.
In this space.
Is there anything that you've been longing to hear?
A gentle reminder to carry with you as you step into the rest of the day.
Offer these words to yourself now.
And let them find their way to the places in you that have been working so hard.
It is safe to rest.
And you don't have to have it all figured out.
Rest now in these truths.
And you can return to this practice anytime you need to.
Whenever your mind gets a little overactive.
Where you find that your body isn't settled.
Let's take one more deep breath together here,
A nice full inhale.
And a slow exhale.
I don't need to have this all figured out.
It is safe to rest.
I can be here now.
If it feels right,
Place a hand over your heart.
Letting these words settle in.
So you can come back and be guided by them once again.
Whenever you need it.
And then relaxing here for a few more moments.
More aware of what it feels like when worry is released.
From my heart to yours.
Go gently,
My friend.
You've got this.
