Hey and a good morning to you.
I'm really glad that you've chosen to be here today.
But before anything begins,
Just let yourself land.
Just get in a comfortable position.
Maybe you're lying in bed cosy already.
Just about to wake up to the world.
Wrapped up in whatever warmth you've got around you.
Your blanket or duvet.
Just let that become part of the grounding too.
Now let the body take a breath in this morning.
And sigh it out.
Good morning.
There's absolutely nothing you need to do just yet.
There's nothing to solve.
Just you.
Arriving gently into this winter's morning.
Let your shoulders drop just a touch.
And soften that space around your eyes.
Release any tension and unhook your jaw.
I know that's an area that I struggle with,
With tension in the jaw.
It's really good just to relax it in.
Not clench for a little while.
Now take a slow breath in through your nose.
And just let it fall out in its own time.
Picture the world outside for a moment.
The winter quiet.
That soft hush you only really get this time of year.
It can be quite magical and special.
Maybe the air is crisp out there.
Maybe the sky is still pale.
Or maybe you're up early and the sun hasn't risen just yet.
But in here you've got warmth gathering around you.
Feel that warmth settle now.
Like a blanket of calm from the inside out.
Now imagine a gentle glow waking up in the centre of your chest.
This glow is not bright,
Not dramatic in any way.
Just a soft morning warmth.
The kind that feels like the sun just thinking about waking up and beginning to rise.
Let that soft glow spread now slowly through the ribs.
Down the arms.
Across the belly.
Each breath feeds the light a little.
Each exhale softens you even deeper.
Let this warmth inside you remind you that you don't have to conquer today.
You just meet it as you slowly,
Steadily one moment at a time.
Now see if you can bring to mind one quality you'd really like to feel today.
Maybe it's ease.
Maybe some clarity.
A spark of confidence.
Or simply the sense that good things can reach you without you having to chase.
Hold that quality softly as though you're warming it up between your hands.
Give your hands a little rub now if you want just to feel the warmth of that intention for the day building up.
On your next inhale imagine drawing that feeling now from your hands into your heart.
Place your hands on your heart if that's comfortable.
Feel that energy being drawn into your heart.
And on your exhale let it radiate out and settle through your whole body.
My friend you are allowed to hope today.
You are allowed to feel supported.
And you're allowed to trust those little moments that go well.
Quietly in your own mind or you can repeat them softly out loud if you prefer,
Say the following words.
I welcome what's good today.
I am open to warmth and ease.
I meet this day with a soft open heart.
Let those words drift through you like morning light slowly filling a room.
Let's just stay here for a breath or two feeling warm from the inside out.
Steady and ready in your own gentle way.
Now when you are ready take a slightly deeper breath.
Let your shoulders roll back.
Maybe start to wiggle your fingers and toes and let your awareness widen into the room around you.
My friend you are so ready for this day.
And you know what?
This day is ready to meet you.
Thank you so much for meditating with me this morning.
And as you move into whatever comes next let this gentle steadiness and grounding walk with you.
There's no need to rush or force things just let the warmth you've gathered here this morning settle into your steps your breaths,
Your way of meeting the day.
Trust that small moments of goodness will find you today and let yourself notice and receive them with an open soft heart.
You're already beginning this morning in the right way grounded,
Cared for and quietly ready for what today brings.
Have a beautiful rest of your day.
Go in peace.
Namaste.
