Good morning.
Before the day begins to ask things of you,
Before the world fills with noise,
Plans and responsibilities,
Take a small moment just for yourself.
Allow your body to settle wherever you are.
Perhaps you are still in bed or sitting quietly as the morning light begins to appear.
There is nowhere to rush right now.
This is simply a moment to arrive.
Take a slow,
Easy breath in through the nose and gently exhale through the mouth.
Again,
Breathing in,
Allowing the chest and belly to softly expand.
And breathing out,
Letting the body relax.
Morning is a tender space between rest and movement,
A quiet doorway into the new day.
For the next few breaths,
Begin to invite a little more energy into the body.
Take a slightly deeper breath in through the nose,
Feeling the lungs fill with fresh air and exhale slowly.
Again,
Breathing in,
A little fuller this time,
Imagining the breath bringing light and freshness into the body.
And breathing out,
Releasing any heaviness from sleep.
One more time,
Inhale deeply,
Allowing the breath to gently awaken the body.
And exhale,
Feeling a soft sense of clarity spreading through you.
Notice how the body feels now.
Perhaps a little more awake,
A little more present.
Morning does not ask you to be perfect.
It simply invites you to begin.
Imagine the light of the morning touching the edges of your body,
Slowly warming you like the quiet arrival of sunrise.
Let the mind wake up gently.
Let the body stretch into this new day in its own time.
You do not need to carry everything from yesterday into today.
Each morning offers a small opening,
A chance to meet life again,
One moment at a time.
Take one more slow breath in,
Feeling the quiet energy of the morning.
And softly exhale.
And as you move into the hours ahead,
See if you can carry a little of this gentleness with you,
A little patience,
A little space.
The day is just beginning and you are allowed to meet it slowly.
When you feel ready,
Gently open your eyes and step into your day.
Thank you for joining me.
