If your mind won't stop and you're feeling overwhelmed with constant thoughts,
This 10-minute guided meditation will help you calm overthinking,
Relax your nervous system,
And gently return into the present moment.
If your mind won't stop right now,
This is where you pause.
Not to force silence,
Not to fix anything,
But to gently step out of the noise and into something quieter.
Take a slow breath in and let it fall out of your body.
Allow yourself to settle.
However you're sitting or lying down,
There's no perfect position here.
Just somewhere your body can begin to soften.
Let the shoulders drop,
Your jaw unclench,
Your hands rest gently.
And just notice your breath.
Not changing it yet,
Just noticing.
Air moving in.
Now slowly deepen your breath.
In through your nose and out through your mouth.
Longer on the exhale.
Letting your body release.
And again in.
Each exhale like setting something down.
Nothing you need to carry right now.
Nothing you need to solve.
Just breathing.
Just being here.
And your mind may still be busy.
Thoughts moving quickly.
Jumping from one thing to another.
That's okay.
You're not doing this wrong.
This is just what minds do.
So instead of trying to stop your thoughts,
Just notice them.
As if you're sitting by the sea.
Watching the water flow.
Each thought just passing by.
You don't need to follow it.
You don't need to hold on to it.
Just noticing.
And letting it move on.
Sometimes overthinking feels like something is wrong.
Like we need to fix it.
Control it.
Quiet it.
But what if your mind isn't the problem?
What if it's just trying to protect you?
To prepare.
To understand.
To keep you safe.
And maybe you don't need to fight it.
Maybe you just need to stop fighting yourself.
Let your thoughts be there.
And let yourself be here.
Breathing.
Grounded.
Now gently bring your attention to your body.
Your chest rising and falling.
Your body supported beneath you.
Notice something steady.
Your breath.
Your awareness.
The quiet presence.
That exists underneath all the noise.
Even if your mind is busy.
This part of you is calm.
Unchanged.
Always here.
So rest here for a moment.
Nothing to do.
Nothing to become.
Just being.
And as we begin to close,
Take a slightly deeper breath in.
And a slow breath out.
You don't need a perfectly quiet mind to feel calm.
You don't need to control everything to feel okay.
You can be here.
With your thoughts.
And still feel at ease.
Carry that with you.
A little more space.
A little more softness.
And when you're ready,
Gently bring yourself back.
Take this calm with you.
And be gentle with yourself today.
I'm really glad you're here.
