Welcome to this morning intention-setting meditation.
As we start this new day,
Let's take the opportunity to clearly outline in your mind what a successful and fulfilling version of the day ahead would look like.
So when you're ready,
Find a quiet,
Comfortable space where you can sit undisturbed.
Take a moment to just settle in,
And then gently closing your eyes,
And we'll begin by taking some deep,
Calming breaths.
Inhaling deeply into your nose,
Allowing your lungs to fully expand,
And then holding your breath at the top for a moment before exhaling slowly and fully out through your mouth.
Repeat this breathing three more times,
Feeling a sense of calm wash over you with each exhale.
Allow yourself to return to breathing normally now,
And turn your attention to your body.
Feel the weight of your body as it presses down on your seat or on the ground,
And feel the ground really pushing up to support you.
Allow this connection to the earth to ground you,
Feeling centred and present.
With a calm and centred mind,
Begin to think about the day ahead.
Reflect on these questions to help clarify what you want from today.
What are the three main goals or tasks that you would like to achieve today?
How do you want to be feeling as you move through your day?
Who are the people that you're going to interact with,
And how do you want these interactions to go?
Now take a moment to combine all these elements.
Visualise yourself moving through the day,
Achieving your goals with the emotions you desire and interacting positively with others.
Consider yourself handling challenges with grace and maintaining a positive mindset.
Focus on each goal or task.
For each one,
Visualise the best outcome.
What does it look like?
How does it feel to complete it successfully?
See if you can anchor in these visuals with positive emotions,
Feeling the satisfaction and the joy of achievement that you know you're going to feel upon completing the tasks you want to complete today.
Awesome.
Now see if you can formulate the quality of your experience in your visualisations for the day into clear positive affirmations for the day ahead.
For example,
Today I am focused and efficient.
Although difficulties may arise,
I am not shaken by them.
I approach all conversations with openness and understanding while still maintaining healthy boundaries.
I feel energetic and manage my time effectively,
Accomplishing all of my goals for the day.
As we begin to wrap up this meditation,
Think of one thing that you're already grateful for today.
Hold this gratitude in your heart,
Allowing it to enhance your positive intentions.
Now take three long,
Slow,
Deep breaths as you gradually bring your awareness back to the present.
When you're ready,
Gently open your eyes,
Feeling prepared and motivated to make today a truly fulfilling day.
