Welcome to a short chakra meditation series.
Today we are getting in touch with our root chakra.
So find your comfortable position either lying on the bed,
Sofa,
Mat.
You can sit in your cross-legged position or simply on the chair with your feet grounded on the floor and allowing yourself to relax completely.
And then take a deep breath in,
Into your nose.
Then I exhale through your mouth,
Let go.
Let go of any tension or stress in your body.
And one more time,
Inhale into your nose,
Chest and belly and sigh out.
And then gently close your lips and let the air coming in through your nose and out through your nose.
Nice breaths.
Coming down to your chest,
Belly and then letting go.
A smooth breath,
Nothing forced.
And now bring your awareness to the base of your spine,
To the root chakra called Muladhara.
And imagine a vibrant red energy at the base of your spine,
Glowing brightly and warming your entire being.
Feel the stability and grounding energy that this chakra brings,
Anchoring you to the earth.
Imagine roots growing from your tailbone and reaching deep into the ground,
Connecting you to the strength and stability of Mother Earth.
As you continue to breathe,
Allow this grounding energy to flow through you,
Bringing a sense of security and safety.
Feel your body relax,
Knowing that you are supported and protected.
Feel the gravity of the earth.
And now bring your attention to any areas of your life where you may need to cultivate more stability.
And imagine this red energy expanding through your whole body,
Bringing balance and grounding to all aspects of your life.
As you breathe,
Allow any fears or insecurities to be released.
Imagine them flowing out of your body,
Going back down to the earth.
Make space for fresh,
Positive energy to come in.
Take a moment to reflect on the areas of your life where you feel in need of support and stability.
Set an intention to invite more balance and security into these areas.
And with each breath,
Allow the red energy at your root chakra to grow stronger,
Nourishing and harmonizing all the systems in your body.
Feel a sense of gratitude for the stability and grounding that Mooladhara chakra brings to your life.
Know that you are a strong and capable individual with the power to overcome any obstacles that come your way.
Take a few more breaths,
Feeling grounded and connected to the earth,
Feeling the energy of your root chakra aligning with your physical body.
You can very gently start coming back to the present.
Maybe wiggle your toes and fingers.
Gently open your eyes so you can just stay simply in the presence of the moment.
Feel the sense of grounding and stability with you.
Take it into your day.
From my heart to yours,
Namaste.
