I invite you to find a comfortable position,
Whether you're lying down or seated,
Whatever feels best for your body in this moment.
Close your eyes if that feels right for you,
Or keep a soft gaze.
This meditation is a space for you to reconnect with yourself,
To set an intention for healing and to nurture the deep well of resilience within you.
There's nothing you need to do or achieve here.
Simply allow yourself to be as you are.
Let's begin with your breath.
Take a gentle inhale through your nose,
And exhale softly through your mouth,
Noticing the sensation of the air entering your body,
Filling your lungs,
And leaving again.
If your breath feels shallow or irregular,
That's completely okay.
Simply observe it without judgement.
With each breath,
Imagine the air flowing in as soft,
Light energy,
And as you exhale,
You release any tension or heaviness.
Inhaling light,
Exhaling release.
As your breath becomes gentler,
As the body softens,
You may find it more comfortable to breathe in through the nose and out through the nose,
If you're able to.
Now bring awareness to your body.
You may feel fatigue,
Discomfort,
Tightness.
Take a moment to acknowledge any sensations,
Knowing that they are valid and part of your experience.
Next,
Direct your attention to the areas that feel even the slightest bit at ease.
A gentle warmth,
A soft relaxation,
Or a sense of calm.
Imagine these sensations expanding outward,
Spreading comfort and softness to the rest of your body,
Like ripples on water.
As your breath settles,
I invite you to picture a warm,
Radiant light above you.
This light represents healing,
Comfort,
And safety.
It slowly begins to pour over you,
Gently touching the crown of your head.
With each breath,
It travels further down your body,
Relaxing your forehead,
Your neck,
Your shoulders.
Feel its warmth as it moves down your arms,
Your chest,
Your back,
And your abdomen.
Let it flow all the way to your legs and toes,
Wrapping you in a cocoon of soothing,
Healing light.
Within this cocoon,
Bring to mind a healing intention.
It could be a word,
Phrase,
Or simply a feeling.
Perhaps it's peace,
Strength,
Hope,
Or the courage to take one small step each day.
Whatever comes to you is just right.
Whisper it softly to yourself,
Or simply hold it gently in your heart.
Trust that this intention,
Planted like a seed,
Will grow and flourish in its own time.
As you hold your intention,
Let these affirmations support you.
I am worthy of healing.
I allow myself to rest and renew.
My body and spirit are doing the best they can.
I am surrounded by light,
And I am not alone.
When you feel ready,
Slowly bring your awareness back to the room.
Maybe wriggling your fingers and toes,
Taking a cleansing,
Soft breath in through your nose and let it out gently,
Maybe through your mouth if that's comfortable.
If you'd like,
Place a hand over your heart as a gesture of kindness towards yourself.
Now that you can return to this space whenever you need,
Carry your intention with you,
Trusting in the process of healing,
One breath at a time.
