Welcome,
I'm so glad you're here.
Taking a moment to settle into a comfortable position,
Somewhere your body can soften and feel supported.
Let your hands rest gently,
Let your shoulders relax away from your ears and allow your eyes to close or soften your gaze.
Take a slow gentle breath in and a long relaxed exhale out.
Again breathing in softly and exhaling fully without any effort.
Feel yourself arriving in this moment.
Bring one hand to your heart and one hand to your belly,
Feeling the warmth of your own touch.
Let your breath move naturally beneath your palms.
Now silently repeat after me.
I don't need to figure anything out right now.
I only need to feel safe in this very moment.
Let those words settle inside of you.
Let them drift into the places within,
The places where you are tired,
Overthinking or just holding too much.
Feel your system begin to soften.
With your next exhale,
Imagine releasing the pressure to be switched on,
Releasing the need to solve or plan or prepare.
Nothing is required of you right now.
You can simply lay it all down.
Let the breath move through you like a warm tide,
Washing away layers of tension you didn't even realize you were carrying.
Your breath is doing the work for you.
Your only job is to receive.
If your thoughts begin to wander,
Gently allow them to.
Thoughts are natural.
They don't need to be pushed away.
Instead,
Imagine each thought drifting across the mind like clouds moving through a soft sky.
There's no urgency.
There's no pressure.
And there's no need to engage.
Notice the quiet space between your thoughts,
That little pocket of peace.
That's where your calm lives.
Return to this peace each time you exhale.
Now bring awareness down into your body,
The weight of you,
The shape of you,
The way the ground holds you without asking anything in return.
Feeling the rise and fall of your breath,
Feeling your belly soften,
Feeling your hands warm against your skin.
Now offer yourself this simple truth.
I am safe enough to be here.
I am safe enough to be here.
Let your whole system respond to that safety.
Feel the settling,
Feel the grounding and feel the exhale that comes when the body finally feels allowed to rest.
Now gently imagine the younger part of you,
The one who learned that she had to stay alert to feel safe.
The one who believed she had to hold everything together.
See her nearby.
You don't need to change her.
Just offer her your presence.
And softly say,
You don't have to hold everything anymore,
Dear one.
You can rest now.
Ease is safe for us now.
Feel your breath deepen as she relaxes.
Feel your chest soften as she releases the weight she has carried for so long.
You are now reparenting your nervous system.
You're teaching it a new way of being.
Now to anchor in this new softness,
Take a gentle slow breath in and a full gentle exhale out.
Whisper these words inside you.
My body does know how to relax.
My life is safe enough for softness.
I return to myself now.
Let that truth settle like warm light in your chest.
Let it anchor you for the rest of the day.
Begin to bring awareness back into the space around you,
Wriggling your fingers,
Wriggling your toes,
Rolling your shoulders.
Taking one final soft breath.
And when you feel ready,
Allow your eyes to open.
Carry this softness with you.
And remember this,
You don't need to have anything figured out right now.
All you need is to feel safe in this moment.
Thank you so much for being here.
You're doing beautifully.
