Begin by finding a quiet and comfortable place where you can sit or lie down without any distractions.
Close your eyes gently and take a moment to settle into your position.
Keep your back and neck straight without overly stretching your body.
Backen down your shoulders and feel them relax.
We will begin by taking three cleansing breaths to center ourselves.
Inhale deeply through the nose into the diaphragm.
Hold the breath for a moment and then slowly release through the mouth,
Letting go of any stress around your body.
If you are feeling any tension,
You can free it by gently adjusting your body and let the earth take all the weight.
Inhale deeply through the nose into the belly,
Feeling it rise like a balloon.
If you want to,
You can place your hand on your belly to feel it expanding as you breathe in and exhale through the mouth,
Feeling the body softening.
One more deep inhale through the nose,
Full expansion,
And out through the mouth.
Now gently bring your breath back to a regular pattern,
Letting all the tension melt away,
Inviting in calm and ease as you settle in.
Begin by imagining yourself walking along a gentle path through a quiet forest.
You look up and notice small pure white clouds drifting slowly across the small blue sky.
You can hear calm winds rustle the leaves and sounds of songbirds in the distance.
Ahead of you,
A couple of willow tree branches hang from the top and between them,
You see a beautiful lake stretching out before you.
The water is calm,
It's still,
Shimmering gently under the soft light.
You step closer to the sparkling water's edge and notice how peaceful this place feels.
Observing the serene space,
You find a comfortably smooth rock or soft grass by the lake to rest on.
Stay here for a moment and breathe in the fresh clean air,
Allowing it to fill your lungs with life force energy.
Feel the earth supporting you fully and allow it to take in all the weight that you are carrying.
Gently look out across the lake and see how the surface is perfectly still,
Calm,
Untouched by the wind or ripples.
As you rest here,
Bring your awareness to the present feeling of calm and peacefulness.
Allow your mind to become like this lake,
Still,
Open and clear.
Observe the thoughts that may come and go like leaves floating gently on the water's surface.
Softly arriving and softly drifting away.
Now bring your attention fully to this moment by observing the sounds,
The light,
The gentle breeze without any judgment or response.
Feel the warmth of the sun on your skin and notice the rhythm of your breath.
With each breath,
Silently say to yourself,
I am here.
I am present.
I am peaceful.
Allow these words to root you deeper into the here and into the now.
As we come to the end of this meditation,
You are carrying with you a sense of peacefulness that fills your whole entire being.
Whenever you need this serene stillness,
Know that you are always welcome to return to this lake.
Whenever you are ready,
Slowly bring your awareness back to your breath and feel the gentle rise and fall of your chest.
Notice your body and gently move your fingers and toes.
When the time is right for you,
You can open your eyes.
