Welcome.
Today we're going to talk about trusting our quiet voice.
That's our intuition and our connection with source.
Most of us have had a moment when something inside quietly said,
Don't go that way,
Call that person.
Something about this doesn't feel right.
Sometimes we listen and sometimes we don't.
And later we think,
I knew it.
That small inner knowing is what we call intuition.
In many spiritual traditions,
They describe intuition as a way we hear guidance from something greater.
Some may call it source,
The universe,
God,
Higher consciousness,
Or simply just inner wisdom.
Today I want to talk to you about three things.
What intuition actually is,
Why we often ignore it,
And what practical ways can we use to strengthen it.
Intuition is not magic and it's not irrational.
It's a different kind of intelligence.
Our logical mind works step by step.
A leads to B and B leads to C.
Whereas intuition works more like a sudden download.
You just know.
Think of intuition as an internal guidance,
Like a GPS system.
But instead of satellites,
The signal comes from a deeper level of awareness.
The part of you that is calm,
Present,
And connected to something larger than your everyday thinking mind.
Some people describe this as a connection with source.
Not something outside you,
But something you are already part of.
Like a wave in the ocean.
The wave is individual,
But it is also the ocean.
If intuition is always there,
Why do we struggle to hear it?
There are some reasons for this.
Noise,
Modern life is loud.
Phones,
Notifications,
News,
Endless opinions from people.
Intuition often speaks very quietly.
More like a whisper than a shout.
If the mind is constantly busy,
We will miss it.
Sometimes it's fear.
Sometimes we do hear intuition,
But it asks us to do something uncomfortable.
Leave the job,
Have a difficult conversation,
Try something new.
Fear often drowns out intuition.
Overthinking.
Our logical mind is brilliant at solving problems,
But it loves certainty.
Intuition rarely gives a full 10-step plan.
It usually gives us a small nudge,
Start here,
And that can make the thinking mind uneasy.
Because we like predictability.
So how can we strengthen our intuition?
The good news is intuition works like a muscle.
The more you use it,
The clearer it can become.
Here are some simple ways to build that connection.
Find a quiet space,
As intuition thrives in stillness.
You don't need an hour of meditation.
Just begin with five minutes of silence a day.
Sit,
Breathe,
And allow your mind to settle.
The goal isn't to force insight.
It's to create space where insight can appear.
Spend time to pay attention to your body.
Intuition often speaks through the body,
And you may notice a light,
Opening feeling when something is right,
A tight or heavy feeling when something isn't right.
Before making decisions,
Pause and ask your body,
How does this feel in my body?
Your body knows before your mind does.
Intuition is usually the first quiet response before the mind starts debating.
So notice your first thoughts.
For example,
Someone may ask you to do something,
And your immediate reaction might be,
No,
That doesn't feel right.
But then the mind jumps in.
Maybe I should.
What if they get upset?
Maybe I'm overthinking this.
The first signal is often the intuitive one.
Another way is to ask for guidance.
Whether you think of it as source,
The universe,
Your deeper self,
Your inner guides,
You can actually ask for guidance.
For example,
Before sleeping or journaling,
Ask,
Show me the next step.
You might not get exactly what you are seeking,
But over time,
You'll notice nudges,
Ideas,
Or unexpected clarity popping up.
Try to keep a small intuition journal by writing down moments when you felt a gut instinct.
Then note what happened afterwards.
You'll start to see patterns.
Times you trusted it and it worked,
And times you ignored it and you wished you hadn't.
This builds trust with your own inner guidance.
Intuition grows stronger when we act on it.
Not huge life decisions right away,
But just small ones.
Call the person you thought about.
Take the different route.
Explore the idea that keeps appearing.
Often,
The next step becomes clear after the first one.
So it is important for us to follow these small nudges.
A helpful way for us to think about source is by imagining a radio.
The music is always broadcasting,
But you only hear it when the dial is tuned correctly.
Practices like stillness,
Reflection,
And awareness helps us tune into the dial.
The signal was always there.
As this talk comes to an end,
I'd like to leave you with these final reflections.
Intuition isn't about becoming perfect or always knowing the right answers.
It's about learning to trust the quiet wisdom that's already within you.
The more we listen,
The clearer it can become.
And over time,
We will realize something powerful.
We are not navigating life completely alone.
There is guidance available to us.
Sometimes it arrives in a whisper.
All we have to do is become quiet enough and open enough to hear it.
Thank you for listening today.
Sending you love and light.
Namaste.
