Kari first started saluting the sun while ankle-deep in the crabgrass outside of her Kindergarten classroom. A practitioner of yoga since 1987 and a teacher since 1996, Kari is known for her characteristic voice and her perspective-shifting words. A medical anthropologist by academic training, Kari incorporates various perspectives of health and wellness in her teaching. The founder of Learn to Teach Yin and Yoga and Pregnancy, Kari has taken three 200-hour and a 500-hour training, as well as advanced training in prenatal and antepartum yoga, yin yoga, Yoga Nidra, Y12SR the yoga of 12-step recovery, and has written and offered a wide range of yoga teacher trainings since 2007. She is also the author of _Better Boundaries_ a book that supports individuals in saying YES so that saying NO comes more easily.
