Transcript

Welcome,

Dear one,

Find a comfortable position,

Lying down or seated in a comfortable chair.

Close your eyes whenever you're ready to start the voyage inward,

Gently shrug your shoulders up towards the ears,

And then release them down,

Releasing the tension in the shoulders.

As you remind yourself,

There's nothing to do in this moment.

There's nowhere to go.

This time is just for you.

And take a moment to feel and sense the surface beneath you,

The support of the surface you're sitting on,

And below that,

See if you can start to feel or sense or imagine the support of the ground,

The earth,

This massive body of the earth that is holding you to its surface.

Feel how deeply the earth is supporting you.

You won't fall off.

The gravity of mother earth is holding on to you,

Almost like the mother holding on to her precious child.

Bring awareness now to your heart and ask the heart,

What do I most need right now?

What do I most need right now?

Allow a word or a short phrase to arise in the present tense as if it's already true.

What do I most need right now?

Perhaps I am at peace,

I am free,

Or I am deeply rested,

Allowing this to unfold for you.

Whatever arises,

Repeat that intention silently three times like a mantra,

Trusting it.

And now inviting gentle movement,

A gentle shaking in your body.

So you might start in the hands,

Maybe the arms with some gentle shaking,

Whatever feels good for you,

Allowing your arms and shoulders to shake,

Shake or bounce or stretch,

Whatever you need to release tension,

Allowing your legs and feet to shake,

Moving into the torso,

Even hips,

Shaking any tension off.

Any sense of armoring you might've been holding,

Shaking off any musts,

Any shoulds that you've been holding that aren't yours,

Shaking those off,

Releasing them into the earth.

This shaking lets the body loosen and life flow through you again without restriction.

It might even feel good to scrunch up the face and then release it,

Allowing the tension to ease out of the face too.

It might feel good to open and close the jaw a few times,

Shaking that loose.

We tend to hold in our words,

Releasing the jaw,

Shaking and releasing anything that is not yours to hold,

Not yours to figure out,

Letting it all go,

Releasing it back into the earth.

You can keep going with the movement and shaking as long as you need.

This time is just for you.

And if that's enough for now,

Allow any movements to become smaller and softer as you return to the breath.

Inhale deeply,

Letting the belly and ribs expand,

And exhale fully,

Sinking your belly in and releasing.

One more time,

If it helps,

You might silently repeat.

Inhale,

Calm,

And exhale,

Release.

Feeling the body soften with each breath.

And start to return to the natural rhythm of your breath again.

And next,

We'll do three easy loops around the body to help the mind let go even further.

So just placing your attention on the right hand,

If it helps,

You can repeat the body parts as I speak them.

Moving from the right hand up to the left hand,

To the right elbow,

Right shoulder,

Left shoulder,

Left elbow,

Left hand,

Right hand,

Right elbow,

Right shoulder,

Left shoulder,

Left elbow,

Left hand,

Right hand,

Right elbow,

Right shoulder,

Left shoulder,

Left elbow,

Left hand.

Sensing into both hands at once.

And now perhaps sensing into the whole body as one.

The whole body resting.

Sensing the whole body solid yet spacious.

And now imagine your whole body floating in warm water,

Sunlight on your skin,

Gentle waves rocking your body.

Imagine or feel or sense the water warm,

Perhaps smelling the salt air,

All the textures and temperatures.

Each wave rocks your body softly.

You are one drop in the ocean of life.

You are one drop in the ocean connected to the vast flowing body of the ocean,

Yet contained and safe within your one drop.

You are one drop in the ocean of life.

I'm here noticing if any wisdom arises,

Any messages for you today,

Arising from the subconscious mind naturally and easily.

Knowing you will remember any messages you need to remember.

And now starting to feel the waves.

Starting to bring your awareness back to the body,

Back to your room where you are in this moment.

Feeling your body whole,

Steady and present,

Grounded in the earth.

Taking a nice deep breath in,

Feeling how good it feels to just breathe.

You might wiggle your fingers and toes,

Reawakening the body,

Stretching if needed,

You might stretch your arms over the head.

And when you're ready,

Opening the eyes,

Carrying this calm presence and any intention and messages into the rest of your day.
