Hello,
My name is Jenny Radica and this is a heart practice meditation for anyone waiting.
Waiting for a medical appointment or health diagnosis.
The meditation is designed to make you feel more relaxed,
Bringing a pause to the stress and anxiety you are currently feeling.
It can be listened to daily or when you are feeling stressed and anxious.
Please know that you are not alone in feeling this.
Listen to my voice and I will guide you gently.
Okay,
Let's begin.
Finding yourself a comfortable position in a quiet and safe space,
Away from noise and distraction.
I invite you to close your eyes if that feels comfortable or you can look down if that feels better.
Coming within the body.
Noticing how the body feels now that the eyes are closed.
Shutting out any distractions.
Noticing any sounds that are nearby with no need to engage or be distracted.
Noticing the breath coming in and out of your nostrils.
The passage of breath flowing in and flowing out.
No need to change or alter the breath,
Observing the breath from afar.
Noticing the tongue in your mouth and placing it at the roots of your mouth if that feels comfortable.
Inviting the tongue,
Mouth and jaw to relax.
And just notice the fabric touching your skin.
Inviting relaxation into the face and the senses.
Letting go of any tension in your shoulders,
Arms,
Belly,
Legs and feet.
And encouraging all tension to flow out through the soles of your feet.
Bringing your awareness back to your breath.
And flowing out.
I invite you to bring one hand to your heart center.
The center of your chest in line with your armpits.
Bringing all awareness now to your spiritual heart.
I encourage you to bring a gentle smile to your face if that feels comfortable.
And notice the response of your heart.
Noticing the warmth and stillness within.
Finding your peace within the heart during this period of waiting.
Placing your hand now by your side and resting within this peace of the heart.
When you find this peace,
You begin to understand waiting is space.
Between the unknown and the knowing.
Between expectations and experience.
Between the present and the future.
By connecting with our spiritual heart,
You find peace over expectations.
The present over the future.
And being over doing.
Waiting with nothing to do and nowhere to be.
A time of self-love,
Self-care.
Time for reflection and growth.
Time to see the other side.
A time to grow empathy and knowledge.
Time to listen to our hearts and lead with its guidance.
Part of being a human is to wait,
And particularly when it comes to our health.
Knowing you are not alone in waiting.
Repeating mentally,
I am not,
I am not alone in waiting.
And with waiting comes hope.
Hope for today,
Tomorrow,
Our next breath,
And our next beat of our heart.
With hope comes gratitude.
Gratitude for the life we are living today.
For awareness back to your breath.
Observing the breath coming in and away.
Start deepening the breath,
Bringing fresh oxygen back into your body.
Circulating this peace and relaxation around your body.
Bringing awareness back into the room that you are in.
Slowly observing the noises around you.
Bringing them back to your attention.
Noticing how the body and the mind feels.
Slowly opening your eyes,
And letting the light,
Colors,
And information back in.
Knowing that you can come back to this meditation at any time whilst you continue to wait.
