Starting your day with sunshine,
Beginner's meditation.
Good morning.
Finding yourself a comfortable position,
Either sitting in a chair or lying in your bed.
I invite you to bring one hand to your heart center as you welcome the day ahead.
You can either choose to have your eyes open or you can close your eyes.
Taking in a couple of deep breaths,
Bringing in fresh new oxygen to start your day.
And letting out any tension and holding from your night's sleep.
Maybe adding a long sigh to each out-breath,
Letting go of yesterday and the night before.
Returning your breath to its normal pace,
Feeling the body beginning to relax,
Sinking a little deeper into the surface beneath you.
As you feel the warmth from the palm of your hand against your chest,
Radiating warmth and stillness from your heart center to the rest of your body,
Inviting relaxation,
Peace and stillness into this moment.
Like sunlight from a summer's day shining down on you.
Noticing the relaxation reaching your face as your face begins to soften and your shoulders drop.
Spreading down to your torso as the breath slows and softens the chest and belly.
Reaching your legs,
Ankles and soles of your feet.
Spreading this peace and joy,
Love and light within.
Encouraging this new energy and sunlight into your day.
Bringing a fresh start and a welcomed clarity.
Radiating this warmth and energy even if it is the darkest and coldest of days.
Feeling that sun shining down on you right now as you connect with your heart center.
Placing your hand to your side,
Opening your eyes with a renewed sense of peace and light as you begin your day.
