Dear beloved being,
Take a moment,
Get comfortable seated or lying,
You can start by taking some nice conscious breaths in through the nose and out through the mouth.
This is a great way of coming into presence and coming back to yourself.
You don't need to focus on anything other than your breath.
Nice slow smooth inhales and exhales.
This is your time now,
It's time to come home to the truth of who you are and to let go of all that you are not.
So let's start by taking your awareness to your body,
Just releasing and relaxing any tensions that you may currently be holding onto.
Relaxing the forehead,
The jaw,
Shoulders,
Arms,
Hands,
Chest,
Belly,
Glutes,
Legs and toes.
So darling,
I'd like you to open your mind and your heart to this meditation so that you can receive this transmission of truth in every cell of your being.
Firstly let's understand what is not true about you.
It's our nature to pick on the things that we deem are wrong about us,
We always find it so easy to find the negatives.
We tell ourselves stories like I'll never be good enough,
I'm worthless,
I'm insignificant,
I have nothing to give,
They do it or say it better and so on.
But where did these stories come from?
And who is the being in your mind telling you these lies?
My love,
You were not born with these stories,
You were born whole,
Complete,
Worthy and neutral.
Do you think you had any self-doubts as a baby or a young child?
It's only when hurtful words or actions are taken from others that we then start to internalize them,
Believing them to be true.
But what if those words were never spoken,
Or if the actions were never taken,
We wouldn't have then created those stories because they would never have entered our awareness.
We would have remained neutral,
With a childlike perspective,
Free and open to be ourselves.
And so who is the being in your mind that repeats these stories?
Because it isn't really you.
If it was you,
You wouldn't be able to distinguish the voice from your own,
You would actually be the voice.
Take a moment,
Come back to your breath and notice the times that this negative voice appears in your mind.
What stories,
Beliefs and judgments does it hold?
How does it make you feel?
Maybe defeated,
Debilitated,
Worthless and more?
Feel free to write this down on paper if it feels right for you and you can pause here if needed.
This may feel difficult and heavy,
Allow any emotions to arise.
Allow yourself to fully feel.
The purpose of this exercise is to bring awareness to this voice in your mind,
So that you can start to realise that this voice isn't yours and therefore these stories are not true.
I like to call this voice the inner gremlin.
The gremlin speaks to you in a negative tone,
It says things like you always mess up,
That sounded stupid,
No one likes you,
Don't take that chance you'll blow it anyway,
Just give up now what's the point and so on.
And the gremlin was born in you when you began to incorrectly believe the comments,
Actions or even non-action taken from others.
For example,
Maybe as a child you were ignored by your parents and this could have formed an internal belief such as I am insignificant,
I am unlovable or verbal abuse from bullies could have caused you to dislike the way you look or behave,
Causing you to dim yourself down and then comes in the gremlin saying things like don't speak up or show yourself you'll be humiliated and so on.
And so the internal self-abuse continues and situations happen in life which reinforce your limiting beliefs which only then strengthen them causing more restriction and internal pain.
The internal pain that you feel is actually a signal,
It's your emotional intelligence telling you that your beliefs are incorrect,
That you are missing the mark and that you are going against your soul's truth.
The thing is we've been taught that there is a good,
A bad,
Right and wrong but according to who?
Because if that's all based upon someone's point of view then how can these polarities be true?
So it's time to let go of what you thought you were,
Maybe you can make the decision to fully let it all go,
Right now in this moment.
Maybe it will take some time,
It's all in your power.
You could release the gremlin simply through intention or a powerful practice is to shake your body,
You could also scream it out,
Jump it out and dance it out,
Do what feels right to you.
And if you notice the gremlin returns,
Simply know that the voice is not yours and you can decide not to listen to the gremlin and sink back into the truth of your being and the truth is this,
You are a limitless being currently having a human experience and the difficulties that you have faced are a part of your journey so it's important not to want to disregard them or bury them down,
It's all you and you are perfect,
You are whole and you exist.
Your existence is proof that you are a necessary part of this universe,
Your presence and your being matters.
