Welcome to this meditation on the abundant ordinary.
I'd like you to take a moment to welcome yourself into the space.
Take some breaths.
Maybe shrug your shoulders a little bit and then let them relax.
Feel the weight of your body in the chair or on the bed,
Wherever you're resting.
Notice the air on your skin.
Any sounds you can hear.
Without trying to change anything,
Just notice what is present.
We're going to find abundance in what is already here.
We're retraining the scarcity scanner.
The part of you that notices when we don't have things.
And we're going to acknowledge that abundance is not something you attract from the future.
It is something you recognize in the present.
And in astrology,
This is particularly resonant during Venus transits or Taurus season or a second house activation.
But this is good for anyone to know.
And it might be especially helpful when life is feeling flat or the future feels out of reach.
So I want to invite you into a different kind of manifestation practice today.
Not a big visionary and future focused one,
But something close and quiet.
Because here is something I have noticed,
And perhaps you have too.
Our relationship with the future reflects our relationship with the present.
When we are constantly scanning ahead,
Waiting for things to get better before we let ourselves feel okay,
We are actually practicing a kind of absence.
We're training the nervous system to believe that the good is always elsewhere.
So today we're going to practice finding it here,
In the ordinary,
In the actual texture of your life right now.
And in doing that,
We're going to retrain our nervous system to accept that good is here and now.
So settle in again to your body.
Notice the rise and fall of your breath,
Which has been happening all along without you having to manage it.
Your body is doing a thousand things right now without your instruction.
Your heart is beating.
Your lungs are breathing.
Your cells are working.
This is not a small thing.
This is extraordinary.
Now I am going to guide you through a gentle inventory of what is already here.
Not what you wish were here,
Or what you're working towards,
But what is actually already present.
Your senses.
You can hear.
You can feel.
You can feel.
Perhaps you can see the inside of your eyelids lit by whatever light is in the room.
You are perceiving.
You are alive to the world.
Your capacity for love.
Whatever love exists in your life,
However imperfect or complicated,
There is love somewhere in your world.
Acknowledge the realness of that for a moment and let it count.
The fact that you sought this out,
This meditation,
This experience,
The fact that you are here right now,
Practicing,
The fact that there is a part of you that still reaches towards the light,
That still believes in the possibility of more.
That is not nothing.
That is everything.
We're going to start to take offline the scarcity scanner and we're going to train the abundance scanner.
There is a part of your brain called the reticular activating system,
And this is a filter.
It scans your environment for what you have told it to look for.
If you have been in survival mode,
It has been scanning for threat,
And it is very,
Very good at finding threat and fear and scarcity.
But the same system,
Retrained,
Can scan for abundance,
For small moments of beauty,
For warmth,
For connection,
For the way the light falls at a certain hour and makes something ordinary look like art.
This meditation is that training.
Every time you hear these affirmations,
You're giving the filter a new instruction,
And you can take these affirmations out with you into your normal life.
And as I give you these affirmations,
You can repeat them out loud or in your head after me,
Or you can simply let my voice carry the energy for you.
There is abundance in this breath.
There is abundance in this moment.
I do not need to wait for abundance and recognize it.
My ordinary life is extraordinary when I'm willing to look.
The more I notice,
The more there is to notice.
As you let these affirmations settle into your body,
Let your mind flick through your life and rest just lightly on the small moments of abundance that it's already filled with.
This might be small moments when you're alone and you notice plants or flowers,
A relationship with an animal,
The shape of the clouds,
The taste of your favorite food,
The perfect temperature of your coffee,
And extend outwards to people and experiences.
Let your mind rest on each of these in turn.
Wearing a favorite jumper or comfy shoes or the sound of the ocean.
When you hear a car playing your favorite song.
All of these are moments of abundance.
And in this list,
Notice yourself,
Your self-awareness,
Your decision to develop yourself,
To learn and grow and adapt.
Whenever you're ready,
Take a slow breath and let your eyes gently open and carry this quality with you into the rest of your day.
The abundance was never missing.
It was just waiting to be seen.
Thank you for sharing your space with me today.
Have a wonderful day.
