Today's meditation is about connecting with your inner child to release your fears.
So let's begin by finding a comfortable position,
Seated or lying.
Close your eyes and take a deep breath in.
Welcome yourself here to this space and exhale slowly.
Let your body relax as you settle into this moment.
With each inhale,
Feel yourself becoming more present,
More grounded in your body.
And with each exhale,
Let go of any tension,
Any worries,
Any distractions.
Now imagine a soft,
Warm light surrounding you,
Filling you with a sense of safety and peace.
This light is your protection and it will stay with you throughout this meditation.
As you continue to breathe deeply,
Allow your awareness to travel back in time.
Visualize yourself as a child,
Perhaps at a specific age that feels important to you,
Or simply as the child within,
The part of you that is still playful,
Innocent and pure.
See this inner child standing before you now.
What do they look like?
Notice their posture,
Their expression.
Are they happy?
Are they fearful?
Simply observe without judgment.
As you approach your inner child,
Extend your hand to them.
Feel the warmth and love flowing between you.
You are here to support and protect them,
Just as they are here to remind you of your true,
Joyful essence.
Gently ask your inner child if they have any fears they'd like to share with you.
Listen carefully with compassion.
What are they afraid of?
What have they been holding on to?
Allow whatever arises to come up without resistance.
You are a loving witness to their fears,
Their worries.
As they express themselves,
Acknowledge their feelings.
Tell your inner child,
I hear you,
I understand you,
You are safe with me.
Now take a moment to embrace your inner child.
Feel the deep connection between you.
As you hold them,
Hugging them close,
Imagine that soft,
Warm light surrounding you both,
Dissolving any fears,
Anxieties or doubts.
With each exhale,
Release those fears into the light.
Feel them melting away,
Leaving behind only a sense of safety,
Love and freedom.
Now gently remind your inner child that they are always safe,
Always protected and always loved.
Let them know that you will continue to care for them.
And that together,
You will move forward with courage and confidence.
Take a deep breath in,
And as you exhale,
Feel a wave of peace wash over you both.
The connection between you and your inner child is strong and you're ready to step into your future,
Free from the burdens of past fears.
When you feel ready,
Allow the image of your inner child to slowly fade,
Knowing that they are always with you,
Deep within your heart.
Take a few more deep breaths,
Feeling grounded and at peace.
Slowly bring your attention back to the present moment.
Move and shift your body a little,
And when you're ready,
Open your eyes.
Stay put just for a second,
Allowing yourself to carry the love and courage you've found within.
And when you're ready,
Carry on with your day.
