Welcome to this meditation where we're going to meet your inner moon.
To help you take care of your emotional needs.
So find a position where your body can stop working quite so hard.
You don't need to sit up straight or arrange yourself into anything.
Just give yourself enough support that you can stay here for a while.
And if you're happy to,
Let your eyes close.
Or let your gaze rest somewhere soft and unfocused.
Take a breath in.
And let it go slower than you took it in.
And take a few more breaths in this way.
Where your exhale is just a little longer than your inhale.
And as you're breathing just acknowledge that you've taken time.
You set time aside in your day.
To focus on taking care of yourself.
And that's really valuable.
So,
There is a part of you that isn't trying to achieve anything right now.
That's not planning or fixing or proving anything.
It's simply feeling.
We could call this your inner moon.
It's the part of you that needed comfort as a child.
That still needs it now.
The part that knows what safety feels like even when it can't always find it.
See if you can turn your attention towards that part of you now.
Just gently.
Way you might turn towards someone or something that you didn't want to startle.
What is that part of you feeling right now?
Not what you think it should be feeling,
But what is actually there.
There's no need to change it or improve it.
Just notice it.
Observe it the way you'd notice weather.
And if it helps,
Place a hand somewhere on your body.
On your chest or on your tummy.
Or just feel the warmth of your palms against your thighs.
Wherever feels best.
And let that hand say without words.
I'm here.
I'm listening.
Your inner moon doesn't need you to solve anything today.
It just needs to know it isn't alone in there.
That's all.
That's the whole practice.
So stay with that hand.
That breath.
But attention.
For as long as feels right.
And remember,
You can come back to this at any time.
To tap in with yourself and just reconnect.
And when you're ready.
Let your breath find its natural rhythm.
Bring in a little more air,
A little deeper.
Wiggle your fingers.
Shrug your shoulders.
And in your own time,
Let your eyes open.
And bring this same gentle feeling back with you.
Into the rest of your day.
Thank you so much for sharing your space with me today.
Have a wonderful day.
