Alan Coon has a background in psychology, aerospace engineering, and meditation. Completing a graduate degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, he integrates neuroscience, somatic psychology, and Buddhist wisdom to help individuals find safety in their bodies, regulate their nervous systems, and reconnect with resilience. He views healing through a trauma-informed and polyvagal lens, recognizing that most human behavior arises from two core needs: love and safety. When these needs aren’t met in childhood, we often seek them outside ourselves, forming protective patterns that once ensured survival. Alan believes love and safety can’t be understood conceptually—they must be felt experiences in the body. From that embodied sense, our connection with ourselves deepens and grows. He holds that everyone is doing their best with the level of healing available to them. As we heal, our inner world reorganizes, and our outer life reflects greater alignment and ease. Alan teaches and applies Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), helping individuals access states of peace, safety, and regulation through body-centered approaches. His graduate research examined EFT’s impact on trauma and nervous-system regulation, exploring how somatic interventions foster healing without medication. Above all, he hopes you come to recognize the treasure that you already are—just as you are.

A useful look at the voo method. The actual voo part seemed a bit short for me.

Very different and effective. My body which is usually stiff, felt loosened and really good. I needed that. Thanks!

Thank you for sharing this method. It’s a method that I’ve practiced during a session with my therapist and I don’t often think of it on my own. When I saw the word “voo” this morning I wanted to give it a try here. Thank you. Your voice is a constant gentle and it was a helpful recording.
