Welcome lovely souls to this beautiful loving-kindness meditation today.

Get comfortable either sitting or lying.

Allowing the shoulders to relax by taking a breath in and out.

The intentions of this loving-kindness meditation is to give love and kindness to ourselves and others,

Even those that make us feel uncomfortable.

Showing kindness to ourselves and all around us helps cultivate more self-compassion and compassion and understanding for others.

We are all human,

Trying our best.

And when we show ourselves loving-kindness,

It then ripples out around us.

Just focusing on the breath.

As I repeat our loving-kindness meditation.

May I be well,

Healthy and strong.

May I be happy.

May I live in peace.

May I feel safe and secure.

May I feel loved and cared for.

May I be well,

Healthy and strong.

May I be happy.

May I live in peace.

May I feel safe and secure.

I invite you to think of someone close to you.

Bring them to your awareness.

And now focus on that breath.

Someone that you meet,

Maybe someone on the streets as you go for a walk.

Someone in your travels.

Bring awareness now to the breath.

I invite you now to bring someone to mind that you don't like so much.

They may bring disruptions to your life and trigger you.

Just bring awareness to that breath.

As things change,

Maybe the body gets a little more tense.

We're here to feel it.

We're in a safe space.

Just bring that awareness to the breath now.

With nothing else you need to do but breathe.

And repeat our loving kindness.

Bringing your awareness back to the self when you're breathing.

Bring that loving kindness back to the self.

Taking a few breaths in and out.

Bringing in that loving kindness to the self and all.

Gently bringing the awareness back into the body.

Feeling the fingers and the toes.

Gently moving those fingers.

And when you're ready,

Cupping the hands over the eyes.

Slowly blinking the light back into your eyes.

Bringing yourself back to full awareness.

Letting that light through.

Welcome back.

And to continue to spread that out to others.

Because we all need it.

No matter if it's someone that triggers us or someone we love.
