Welcome beautiful soul to this gratitude meditation.
Let's get comfortable,
Let's get cozy.
Sitting,
Lying,
Wherever you're comfortable,
Closing down the eyes when you're ready.
We can drop expectations of how we should be while we meditate and just be exactly as we are.
If that means drifting off and having many thoughts that is okay.
To help us with this let's find our focal point,
The breath.
The rise and fall in your chest or your belly.
Continue to come back to these when you notice yourself going elsewhere.
Part of a mindfulness practice that I love to teach.
Let's feel into gratitude.
Where in the body can you feel or know it to be when we say the word gratitude?
Does it feel good or uncomfortable?
Being the observer here without judgment of any thoughts that arise.
Taking a deep breath in and out.
Now feeling into what you are grateful for with yourself.
Maybe something that's happened to you today,
This week,
This year.
Bringing that to mind now.
Gratitude for the self.
Can you give yourself gratitude for how far you've come on your journey through life?
For all that you've done to get here.
Think of something that you didn't think you could do that got you here.
That feeling of lack,
Been stuck or non-striving towards what you wanted and then something changed.
And you came out the other side.
Just thanking yourself for this persistence to keep going or to let go of what was needed.
You're now here and you can thank yourself for that.
Breathing in and out.
Finding some gratitude for this season that we're in.
Maybe it's time for you to go within.
Maybe to take a deep breath in and out.
To get out into the sunshine,
Going for a walk.
Inviting fresh energy in.
Just take a moment to sit with this.
What are you needing in this moment?
Feeling into your breath.
And just giving thanks for that.
For keeping you going without even thinking about it.
The breath is always here for us.
So just be with that breath for a moment.
Feeling that gratitude for all that you do have and for all to come.
Gently.
Bring that awareness back to the breath.
Noticing the body.
Breathe in a little deeper.
Out a little longer.
Breathing in that gratitude.
Breathing out lack.
Starting to feel the fingers,
The toes,
Giving them a wriggle when you're ready.
Just thanking yourself for your practice with gratitude today.
For going within and taking this time for you.
Remembering to look around at all the things we can have gratitude for.
The good,
The bad.
The learnings in each lesson that we have throughout life.
Carry this gratitude today and for the rest of your week.
Thank you for joining.
I look forward to offering the next meditation.
Until then,
Lovely.
Love and kindness to all.
