Good evening,

It's Gina here.

Tonight we're joining Leo for a wonderful adventure.

A rocket ride beyond the clouds,

Past the moon and into the peaceful stars above.

So snuggle in,

Get cozy and let's begin.

The sky was dark and clear,

Sprinkled with stars that twinkled like tiny lanterns.

Leo stood at his window,

Gazing up at them.

The world was quiet.

The only sound that Leo could hear was the rustle of the wind through the trees.

Something shimmered in the garden below.

When Leo looked closer,

He saw a small silver rocket sitting on the lawn.

The moonlight reflected in its polished exterior.

He tiptoed outside in his slippers,

The cool night air brushing his cheeks.

The rocket's door slid open with a gentle whoosh and a friendly voice said,

Good evening,

Leo.

Are you ready for a night among the stars?

Leo smiled and climbed inside.

The seat was soft and the lights inside glowed like tiny constellations.

The rocket began to hum,

Low and steady,

Five,

Four,

Three,

Two,

One,

Blast off.

The rocket lifted gently off the ground,

Floating upward into the night sky.

The garden grew smaller and smaller until it looked like a tiny green postage stamp below.

The clouds sparkled in the moonlight as the rocket rose higher and higher.

Soon,

Leo could see the moon,

Round,

Bright and calm.

Its craters looked like a smiling face watching over the world below.

Hello,

Moon,

Leo whispered.

The moon glowed softly in reply,

Casting silver light through the rocket window.

Then the rocket glided higher still,

Beyond where birds could fly and clouds could drift.

Out here,

The stars shone brighter than ever,

Millions of tiny suns twinkling in every direction.

Leo pressed his hand to the window and gasped.

The earth was far below now,

Blue,

Green and glowing,

Wrapped in a blanket of clouds.

It was so beautiful.

The rocket slowed to a gentle drift.

Outside,

The stars shimmered and danced,

Each one shining and twinkling its own rhythm.

Leo floated softly inside the cabin,

Feeling lighter than air.

Every sound was quiet,

Just the hum of the rocket and the steady rhythm of his breath.

The captain's voice came over the radio,

Warm and kind.

Leo,

She said,

From up here,

You can see everyone and everything.

It's the perfect place to send a little love to the whole world.

Leo nodded.

A loving kindness practice.

Yes,

The captain chuckled,

Exactly.

Leo gazed down at the earth glowing softly in the distance.

He placed one hand on his heart and took a slow,

Gentle breath in and a soft,

Easy breath out.

If you're listening at home,

You can join Leo by placing your hand over your heart too and saying these phrases quietly to yourself.

May I be peaceful.

May I be happy.

May I be safe.

May I feel loved.

A warm light filled his chest,

Spreading gently like sunshine.

Then he looked down at the world below.

The forests,

The oceans,

The tiny towns with twinkling lights.

He thought of everything.

His family,

His friends and everyone else sleeping under the same sky.

May you be peaceful.

May you be happy.

May you be safe.

May you feel loved.

The words drifted from his heart like glowing stars,

Floating down towards earth.

Each one became a soft spark of golden light that wrapped the world in love.

After a while,

The rocket began to turn.

The stars stretched out behind him like a glittering river and ahead,

The ocean.

The earth grew larger again.

The rocket drifted down slowly,

Passing through silver clouds and moonlit skies.

The hum of the engine was gentle now,

Almost like a lullaby.

Below,

Leo could see his house,

Its windows glowing invitingly.

The rocket touched down softly,

Just where it had been before.

Its lights dimmed,

Glowing faintly like fireflies ready for sleep.

Leo climbed out quietly and walked across the cold grass.

The rocket glowed softly behind him,

Its lights fading like sleepy stars.

The garden was calm,

Wracked in silver moonlight,

And the air was still and kind.

He looked up at the sky where the stars shimmered faintly and whispered,

Thank you for the journey.

For a moment,

It felt as though the stars twinkled a little brighter,

As if they'd heard him.

Leo tiptoed back inside,

Climbed into bed,

And pulled the blanket out to his chin.

Through the window,

He could still see the stars twinkling high above him.

Every one a tiny spark of love and calm.

He smiled softly,

His eyes growing heavy,

Knowing the stars would keep shining for him and for everyone.

He wished peace for that night.

Good night,

My friend.
