And welcome back to session 8 of Stillness Speaks.
My name is Colleen,
And today's practice is called The Answers Within.
I spent decades chasing answers,
Reading every book,
Trying every program,
Searching for the thing that would finally restore my health.
I wanted to feel well in my body again,
To have the energy,
Balance,
And strength I had lost.
But over time,
I learned that the answers weren't so much in the books or the programs as they were within me.
The more I got still,
The more I began to hear my own body's wisdom,
Guiding me toward what I needed.
Today's meditation is an invitation to set down the constant seeking and to listen for the quiet truth within you,
The one that knows the next step on your own healing journey.
Let's begin.
Please find a comfortable place to land,
Allowing yourself to arrive wherever you are.
Close your eyes.
Drop your shoulders.
Relax your jaw.
Rest your hands gently,
Releasing any grasp.
Soften your belly,
Allowing your breath to move more freely.
Breathing in and out through your nose.
Imagine you are walking a winding path.
For years,
You've been gathering maps,
Guides,
And signposts,
Trying to find the way to wellness.
Your arms are heavy from all that you carry.
Now see yourself placing each one down,
The maps,
The guides,
The questions,
The doubts.
With each release,
You feel lighter.
You keep walking until the path opens to a quiet clearing.
There is no noise here,
No rush,
Just the sound of your own breath and the steady beat of your own heart.
Feel the support beneath you.
Let your weight be held.
Breathing slowly in and out through your nose.
No forcing.
No rush.
On your next inhale,
Silently repeat to yourself,
I trust.
On your exhale,
Silently repeat,
Myself.
Again,
Inhale,
I trust.
Exhale,
Myself.
Once more on your own,
Let the words open a doorway to the truth within.
Now let your awareness rest with your breath.
Feel how each inhale draws you deeper into presence,
And each exhale softens the need to seek outside of yourself.
In this stillness,
You may notice a whisper.
A whisper,
Not loud,
Not urgent,
But steady.
This is your truth.
It may come as words,
An image,
A feeling,
Or simply a sense of knowing.
Trust it,
Exactly as it arrives.
Staying here with your breath,
Inhaling,
I trust.
Exhaling,
Myself.
Let the simplicity of your breath and your presence be enough.
I trust.
My voice will be quiet for a little while.
Rest here in the stillness.
Begin to bring your awareness back to the sounds around you.
Feel the earth beneath you.
Begin to move your fingers and toes.
Roll your shoulders.
Take a deep breath in,
And an even deeper breath out.
Now,
Gently open your eyes.
When we stop seeking outside ourselves,
And begin listening within,
The truth has space to rise.
It doesn't need to be complicated.
It just needs to be heard.

And may you always trust yourself and the answers within.
