Drift Into A Deep Sleep

Drift deep into a good nights sleep. You will use your imagination to help you enter into a natural relaxed state. I begin by inducing Rapid Eye Movement, and use your breath to help you to drift into a restful sleep naturally and with more ease.

Hi,

I'm Emily and together we are going to relax you into a rest,

Peaceful,

Deep sleep.

So just find a comfortable position lying down and I want you to look up as if you're looking into your own eyebrows and just take a nice deep breath in through your nose and sigh it out of your mouth.

Good,

Again keep looking up,

Breathe in,

Take another sip of air in and then sigh it all the way out and let it go.

And one more time,

Keep looking up,

Breathing in,

One more sip and then sigh it all the way out and as you do just close your eyelids down,

Right down,

All the way down now.

And you may even feel some fluttering in your eyelids now as that rapid eye movement takes you into a more relaxed state,

The perfect state for a good night's sleep.

And if you've been finding it hard to go to sleep,

You'll know the harder you try the harder it becomes and this is called the law of reversed effect and it's because you are trying to stay in control but real relaxation comes when we don't try,

When we let go.

And that's what we're going to do today,

We're just going to let go.

And you don't have to try or do anything,

Just listen to my voice as you drift even deeper,

So much deeper now and this drifting floating feeling develops in your body and you can picture now a nice deep wave of relaxation beginning to come in through the top of your head and then it moves down to all the thousands of tiny muscles in your face and it slowly and gently relaxes all these muscles and then it continues to move down your neck and all the way down to the bottom of your spine and it releases,

Relaxes and just lets go of any tension and now this wave of relaxation begins to move up all the way up through your back and all the way down through your shoulders,

Further down through your arms all the way to the ends of your fingertips,

Relaxing,

Letting go and releasing.

Good and now just imagine this wave of relaxation beginning to move up all the way up through your arms,

Up back again through your shoulders and then this wave of relaxation moves down over your chest,

Opening,

Relaxing and releasing the heart space and then it continues to work its way down through to your stomach,

Further down to your hips letting go of any tension in the hips now and then this wave of relaxation begins to move down,

Down through your legs,

Releasing,

Relaxing all those big muscles in your legs,

Relaxing the glutes all the way down to the ends of your toes and just picture this nice deep wave of relaxation now relaxing,

Releasing and cleansing your entire body and already you're starting to feel heavier,

Very comfortable,

Very safe and so very relaxed and throughout this meditation you may even feel that you're coming in and out of consciousness,

Maybe my voice even sounds like it's coming from afar and that's perfect.

Just let this meditation be what it needs to be for you today,

You don't have to be anything,

Do anything,

You're just feeling that release and letting go naturally,

Peacefully,

Automatically and now I just want you to imagine yourself standing at the top of a beautiful white marble staircase,

A thick white marble staircase with a beautiful soft carpet going all the way down the middle and now I just want you to imagine yourself standing at the top of a beautiful white marble staircase,

A thick white marble staircase with a wonderful soft carpet going all the way down the middle and you can even feel this soft carpet underneath your feet right now and you're looking down at your feet and you notice in front of you there are ten steps leading all the way down to the most relaxing perfect place,

A special place,

A place that you remember feeling really good and you're moving on to that step 10 now as you see your feet drifting down and sinking down 9 sinking deeper and even deeper 8 heavier and heavier and 7 your arms and legs are feeling as heavy as lead 6 noticing that tingling energy across your fingertips as it spreads all the way down,

Down through your arms all the way to the ends of your fingers 5 all the way down through the feet and toes and you may feel a tingling in the tips of your toes as that wonderful energy reaches them 4 and 3 feeling a drifting floating feeling,

Feeling so good and so relaxed 2 going deeper with every word I speak and deeper with every breath that you exhale 1 and 0 feeling so relaxed so at ease and so comfortable now and in your mind you are in that very special place,

A place where you feel so good,

So safe and so relaxed and in your mind just have a look around in that perfect special place and you can even notice if it's daytime or nighttime,

You can see what colors you can see around you and just notice any objects now that you can see and you can even reach out and pick up an object just noticing how that object feels noticing the texture and the temperature is it warm or cool or is it just somewhere in between and now as you feel more relaxed than ever you can just let go of that image now letting go and letting your mind drift and float wherever it wants and you're feeling a wonderful sense of calm feeling so at peace as your mind is floating and drifting and you even feel a sense that you are floating and drifting into this warm and comfortable feeling and you feel so safe,

So secure,

Comfortable and completely relaxed you're starting to feel drowsy and sleepier,

More comfortable than ever before and in a few moments you may find yourself drifting,

Drifting,

Floating and you may even lose track of my voice but your mind,

Your subconscious mind is continuing to listen to me,

You don't have to try and listen anymore you can just let go,

You can let go of any thoughts,

Any memories,

Any feelings,

Drifting in and out of your awareness and your physical body is so heavy so relaxed,

You feel so safe and secure and you love this feeling of pure relaxation,

Of happiness and your mind is relaxing as you go deeper and deeper into this drifting,

Floating feeling feeling deeply relaxed,

More relaxed than you've ever experienced before and very soon you're even able to drift,

Float comfortably down into a sound,

Relaxing,

Healing sleep you are drifting into a deep sleep,

Everything else is simply drifting away,

Floating away and as you go into this comfortable,

Deep sleep,

You are able to drift off to sleep at any time that you want to you can simply drift into that gentle but deep rest,

Whenever you are ready to any tension just drains out of your body feeling into this very special place with soft,

Comfortable,

Relaxing energy any tension,

Any tightness just fades away any thoughts,

Feelings or memories are fading away simply allowing them to drift away as you drift off so easily,

So effortlessly,

So naturally into a comfortable,

Deep sleep and you are able to sleep for as long as you need and if for any reason you wake up in the night,

You simply just take those deep breaths and return to a natural,

Deep,

Calm sleep returning to this gentle state of relaxation and my words are growing stronger by the minute stronger by the hour and stronger by the day and stronger by the day as you enjoy drifting into this wonderful,

Deep,

Relaxing sleep so just sleep sleeping deeper,

Relaxing easily,

Drifting off,

Floating off into that deep,

Wonderful,

Healing sleep
