Emily Rogers

Hello! My name is Emily, and I am a trauma-informed somatic counsellor, as well as a yoga and meditation teacher. I work with adults, young people, and teens to help unpack the sources of stress in their daily lives, creating space for healing and growth within both the mind and body. At the age of 10, I experienced the sudden loss of my mother. Without the tools to process my grief, I spent the next 15 years in a state of complete dissociation from my body. During this time, I struggled to find purpose and often looked outside myself for answers. The trauma I faced in my teenage years ultimately led me to seek therapy, which marked the beginning of my journey to reconnect my mind and body. Today, I am more in touch with my emotions and aware of how they fluctuate throughout the day. While I still encounter triggers from time to time, the tools I have learned from various therapists and teachers help me maintain a sense of regulation. I believe that therapy can empower us to become comfortable with our internal systems and the wide range of emotions that can arise. When we create space to slow down and listen, we can tap into the wisdom of our bodies. My goal is to guide you on your own journey of self-discovery and healing, helping you cultivate a deeper understanding of yourself and your experiences.
